"After graduating from high school, Hirose Natsuko starts her career as an animator. Her talent quickly flourishes, and she makes her debut as a director in no time. Her first anime becomes a massive hit, sparking a social phenomenon and earning her recognition as an up-and-coming genius director. Her next project is set to be a romantic comedy movie themed around first love! However, having never been in love herself, Natsuko struggles to understand the concept of first love, and as a result, she's unable to create the storyboard, causing the movie production to come to a standstill.

The less you know going in, the greater the effect.

That said, the summary appears to wisely hide the true nature of the story pretty well. I didn't expect her to get isekaied into the d-tier movie she watches on loop, nor that her animation 'powers' could play a part in the story as written. I have no idea where the story is planning to go from here, and that's its greatest strength. Is the entire series going to be fixing this movie, or will she jump to other troubled works and interact with other fictional characters? If you watched Re:Creators, this might appeal to you. If the preview is anything to go by, at least the next episode will continue to take place in this current movie.

This was very entertaining. Good animation, interesting plot.

My only worry is: Will it all have been just a dream she had from falling unconscious after the food poisoning, or did she really get isekai'd? If it's the former, it'd be a major letdown.

    Still, absolutely continuing this one.

    Episode 2:

I REALLY hope her hair stays up now. Her hair covering her face seriously made me consider dropping this show.

As does her personaliy. She's an awful person, so full of herself when she's nothing. Really annoys me.

But the plot is somewhat interesting. Hoping that not every episode turns into a formulaic "stuff happens, Natusko gets her Sailormoon-transformation sequence, the day is saved".

I personally disagree on both points, I hope her hair stays down, it's amusing watching her stuff all that food under her hair and eat.

As for her personality I quite like it, she's very upfront and honest unlike most protagonists she doesn't really hide anything and says pretty much right away what's going to happen, that this is the world of an anime and everything she understands about her drawing powers. The only negative trait I've seen from her so far is her failiure to read the room.

On the other hand I dislike Luke, for someone tasked with saving the last city of the world you'd think he'd be more grateful that she saved his friend and warned them about the upcoming dangers. Being suspicious of her is one thing but acting more like a jerk doesn't really make him likable.

Also I can't be the only one who got a laugh out of the pegbar saying no stock footage and then her desk and drawing is all stock footage.

She behaves like she isn't in a scary, dire situation and I hate that. But that's Japanese acting par the course. Japanese can't act.

You do you, I simply disagree because I'm enjoying her character and the show for now but if it's not your cup of tea then it simple isn't.

    Episode 3:

And again the transformation sequence, sigh. At this point it feels cheap. My big disappointment this week, however, was what she drew. When she was like "ah ,that!" I thought she had come up with some elaborate plan. But then she drew some random fighter character, of which she could probably draw thousands. I'd prefer if her drawings had more situational contet, aka "what's going on, where are we, alright, this would be the best drawing".

The most interesting part is still the plot realy. This episode we felt the consequences of Natsuko changing stuff, the time of events is off now.

Guess we'll have an elf girl-centric episode next week.

    Episode 4:

So Memmeln just wanted to be a Disney-princess, LOL.

What was super dumb, though, but pls someone explain it to me: Ok, elves live long, maybe forever. But they're evidently not immortal, they can die to violence just like anyone. So ... instead of killing herself, she chose to destroy the entire world?! wtf
