The title thing was cool. It changed his passive so he's +40% stats against animals. His previous +1% to all doesn't seem worthy to equip in comparison.
If you can switch them instantly, then yeah, there's no point. If you had to commit, then +1% to everything is okay when you have no idea what you'll be facing.
