That sure is some Bleach! They even brought "One" back.
Looks like the new villains might be Quincy/Hollow hybrids, rather than the Soul Reaper/Hollow hybrids of the previous arc.
Improved visuals was very nice.
My hope is that they can fit some humor, even silly humor, like in the first seasons.
Liked the ost signature is kept. ED was not as energetic as most Bleach EDs, I remember most Bleach OPs/EDs scored high in charts, I wonder for that one.
They had to introduce the main cast again... after that long wait you expect a new audience that might not know any of the characters.
I already miss Rukia and Renji though...

First of all, holy shit, I'm not used to Bleach having this fast of a pacing lol. It felt almost rushed with how much happened in just one episode.
Content-wise, it's the same old stuff and despite all the "WAR" and whatever hype they're trying to build up, nobody ever dies for real unless they're some super side character.
Also, I really can't stand the chuunibyou-like behavior of everyone lol. The group that visited Genryusai, oh man. Basically just going there to show off to him how cool they are lol.
This will be watched for the nostalgia and the modern animation. It's okay.

I enjoyed this first "Returning" episode.
I am happy they didn't do a recap and waste the viewer's time. At this point in the story, everyone at this point knows the story previously IMO and a recap is not needed, so to have it pick up exactly where it left off is A huge plus.

I just realized from their letter names and the OP that the boss squad has a full TWENTY-SIX members this time!
Sometimes I wonder if Kubo wouldn't be happier making fighting games than manga. He seems like he prefers designing characters and movesets to writing stories.

New swords is always fun, but shouldn't he have 4 swords? Soul Reaper, Hollow, Quincy, Fullbringer?
That whole Fullbringer arc really was a waste of time. Ichigo loses his powers, just to get new ones, only to lose those, only to get his old powers back, only to lose those in this arc, only to get them right back.
They coulda left out, like, 2 of those steps.
Well, Kubo was in a kind of rut and the show lost traction.
I have to say I hate everything about Ywach and that arc. The only thing is that it explains what happened with Ichigo's mother and kinda explains why Ichigo is compatible with so many powers.
Other than the arc itself, I have a blast with the cinematic animation, not perfect 100% of the time, but far better than what we have nowadays.
For some reason I get nothing from the OST when it was what got me hooked to Bleach in the first place. It also shaped a huge part of my J-music tastes with all the major hits it produced.

OP and ED since I didn't really pay much attention to background music. I only remember versions of the iconic tune from season one usually linked to hollow appearances.

There's an Animal Realm?
That's like the last of the Six Paths of Buddism. I'm gonna call that theory confirmed!
I guess everyone is bored with that new adaptation.
Visuals and effects are really nice. But direction and story is underwhelming. Being polite here.
I already droped the manga at the begining of that arc, anime confirms.
The only part of interrest last cour was Ichigo's mother story. Too bad it was just what we had.
I like that part of the story is more violent and darker, we writer(s) lost their touch. Puns and humor gave depth to the show.
Now it's just an empty, beautifully animated story.

Well, there's not really much going on to talk about right now.
They introduced 26 new villains at once. They're having Stand battles with our 80 pre-existing characters. None of the new abilities are particularly "Oh shit! That's really clever and novel." Kurotsuchi just used Itachi's Izanami.
I guess the only real development is our main villain is actually after the "Soul King". But it's hard to care since we don't even know who that is.
