Boiler plate fantasy setup, but by the end of the vanilla first episode, I was able to find some enjoyment in the mystery of Ceryll, as the opening scene suggests a contemporary setting. Maybe too much clumsy lore dumping started to lose me, but the journey so far has entertained. Some seemingly retconned 'twists' had me roll my eyes in the second episode, but it wasn't too offensive. Dialogue and setting actually sort of reminds me of Re:Zero superficially. Could be worth a watch.
