Kageki Shoujo had a very solid first episode. Well animated and brimming with energy. Some people are apparently put off by the art style, but in motion I honestly didn't even notice.
It's pretty much exactly what I expected it to be so far, but there's just a lot of genki girl energy going on here, more than I expected. A little heavier on the humor than a lot of these Takarazuka Revue (but different so don't sue us!) inspired series tend to go.
I did watch the Momotaro gore series, and also liked it more than I was expecting to. The bunny girl and the hook at the end of the episode might have sold me on it.Originally Posted by Buffalobiian
As for David's comment, I think the princess will get better with time to develop. It's a little weird considering we're seeing her after whatever happens in the flashback. She's already had some level of character development, the series just skipped over it.
