It was weird how the ending felt so abrupt, yet the director still filled the episode with the cheap auto-tune singing. At least I don't feel like the ending was particularly rushed, regardless of it was anime original or not. It was lacking scale, though. The previous arcs had all the conspiracies, history rewriting, manipulating entire species, but then it was all solved in a simple scuffle lasting an hour or something. It's kind of like if WW2 had started as we know it, but after Germany had started Operation Barbarossa, instead of the gruesome years and millions of deaths we know from history lessons, Germany would have been beaten in a single week with minimal losses on both sides, and it would have been all over. And then the same would have happened with Japan. That's the kind of feeling this ending gave to the overall story of the series.
