Fire Force: Enn Enn no Shouboutai

In the year 198 of the Age of the Sun, Tokyo is a crowded cosmopolis. But the world's most populous city is threatened by devils that cause people to burst into flame at random. The only ones who can stop it are the Pyrofighters, a team of specialized firefighters. The young Shinra, blessed with the ability to ignite his feet and travel at the speed of a rocket, wants nothing more than to be a hero, and knows that this is the place for him. But he's not the best at following orders.

First episode of Fire Force: Enn Enn no Shouboutai is out, and it was more entertaining than I was expecting. Solid first impression with its characters and the action has potential, hopefully it'll keep up through the rest of it.

Eye candy and a bit tiring. My thoughts were they will probably not continue to spend money in expensive scenes in future eps.
It might be that kind of shonen isn't to my liking.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

Going for a necro-bump on this thread, since I heard the series rapidly improves over its full run. With not a lot to watch this season overall, I figured I'd give it a look after passing it over completely the first time.

I watched the 2nd episode of Fire Force first on accident due to the way they downloaded and not paying attention. Honestly, it was a drastically better intro to the series than the 1st episode.

Deliberately watching them in that order was definitely the way to go.

So far, the first season is massively better than the majority of the second, both production and story-wise. I hope the twilight of this season sees a return to form (the first portion of s2 is actually pretty good- even if that's when the quality starts dipping)...

Agreed. The second season caused me to pause this series, even though I binged the first one.

When it came out I had stopped after a couple of episodes, then earlier this year I went to episode 14. Overall I enjoy it, but having trouble binge watching many episodes. Not sure when I'll get back to it.
