I was trying to remember how they resolved the Sunny getting blown up, but I guess it was Franky and Usopp being like, "Just a quick patch job, no biggie."

The Sunny is made of, like, God's Wood. I'm pretty sure hand grenades wouldn't do shit to it.
I guess Kanjuro was the only one with a devil fruit power, so I should have guessed. I like that even his poor drawing was canonically deception as well. Nico will be disappointed. His motivation seems a little underdeveloped due to the brevity of the backstory, but it does tie up some story questions (like Jack getting to Zou). Pretty shrewd of Orochi to have a plant on the ground floor like he did. Was his name suggesting he is a member of Orochi's clan?

Well...it doesn't have a lot of uses.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen Sunny use it's cannons before. I didn't even know it HAD them. I though it just had the mouth beam.

I wonder if Law is actually stupidly competing with Kidd and Luffy, or goading them into attacking targets he's selecting?
The supernova trio being competitive seems like a throwback to Shabondy to me. Already been 11 years goddamn.

Ever since that scene first aired, I've been predicting Luffy, Law and Kid would become future Emperor's.
And if they take out Kaido and Big Mom here, they will be(though Luffy still needs to duel Shanks).
Kid especially seemed branded as the "anti-Luffy" during his early reveal. He would make for an ideal rival if not for the other ideal rivals already existing in this series, lol. I still want to see a Luffy vs Smoker rematch, though I doubt that will happen at this point.

I'd like that rematch too, but I think he got jobbed on Punk Hazard by Doflamingo...
Still watching whole cake island. Tea party ruined. Bege is a pretty good shot. Katakuri is pretty good but somehow less scary than Mingo. Why doesn't Luffy use the same trick on Katakuri he used on Enel's mantra? He can't even land a punch right now. He's getting his ass handed to him.
Well, it doesn't work, for one.
Gomu-gomu-no-duuuuuuuh...is neat, but you can't attack back. So it's not that useful.
Katakuri's observation haki is on a totally different level (can see the actual future) than Enel, who was more or less reliant on his fruit power. No sir, a better solution is required.
Fair enough, but it hasn't even occurred to Luffy to try it on the O.Haki users.
