I mean, why even use a stick? Why the heck is he even doing sword combat if he can use extremely powerful long distance attacks instantly..?
WTF am I doing watching this??
Peace.
The one explanation I can come up with is because he needs to visualize things to cast it.
Maybe the object acts as some kind of anchor for that
And since magic power is involved, using generic anime magic logic, it might not drain as much spellpower as large scale spells.
I have to say though, this is the least interesting Isekai I've seen yet.
The first episode was "okay" (generic etc. but you'd think you can make something out of the setting) and then it got strictly worse with each new one... and now it's already at a point where it can't get much worse.

The issue is too many isekai anime have basically given up on plot and are the equivalent to the 'cute girls doing cute things' genre - except here it's 'guys enjoying the isekai'.
I'd honestly be happy about the 'cute girls doing cute things' part, but I'm not seeing it in this one ever since Sicily apologized with oscar-acting tears when she "used" MC in episode 1...(or 2?).
I mean, I can laugh when 'cute girls do cute things', as they are unbelievably silly sometimes.
K-On - Minami-ke, Lucky Star, Maiddragon, New Game!
Isekai don't feel like that to me at all .
I still think the best Isekai was Grimgar, of Fantasy and Ash. No matter how many people complain about "how slow it was", it was at least the most non generic Isekai ever and the characters left an impression.
I'd love more shows about the survival in a new world/game world... but not just in name, like this one. Just take the descprition as an example, from it alone, you'd think he struggles to fit in... but he freaking doesn't. He's so popular, live isn't even a challenge anymore.

Episode 6
- - -- -
Somehow this anime manages to be even worse than the manga. Or to reword it, this anime manages to really illustrate even better than the manga how bad the story is and how it all depends only on a few superficial things, like being interested in the corny romantic development.
I hate the romantic development, I hate the enemies, I hate the characters.
Like I've said so many times before, why the fuck am I watching this?
Peace.
Episode 8

Holy shit this is terrible. This is taking it to the next level compared to the manga, no doubt. I rarely find anything to complain about voice actors in the original Japanese dub of pretty much any anime, in fact very rarely indeed, but I couldn't help but think the prince's little sister, May, suffered from exceptionally poor voice acting. Maybe it was the VA's first job, who knows, and the director naturally wouldn't give a shit since this series is doomed anyway.
The old man Merlin Wolford is more or less the only character who's worth anything.
I actually managed to stop watching this show after episode 6.
Sounds like I don't miss out on anything, great.
From all the comments so far, looks like I stopped watching at the right time.
Last episode was really fun though good to see when an anime doesn't just keep teasing a relationship until the very end.
Everyone hiding and watching their love confession was hilarious.
Something that bothers me since the start though: fuck crunchyroll for changing names to random German. They clearly say 'Sicily' and 'Coral', but the subtitle shows "Sizilien' and 'Koralle'. Sigh
Maybe you should stop being cringey then. Fake confidence is still better than none.
Peace.
Dieting and exercise is the solution.
I lost 18 lbs in the past 3 months just by eating less than usual and doing 4 minute workouts every other day. I love eating and hate exercise.
Peace.
WTF!? 32 kilograms in 3 months??? That's about 3 kilograms per month! That's amazing! But how heavy must you be to be able to lose that much and still be fat?
Peace.
