    Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler

At Hyakkaō Private Academy, the sons and daughters of the wealthiest of the wealthy engage in a unique curriculum geared to teach them to how to read their opponents. Specifically, students have a rigorous curriculum of gambling where the winners live like kings, and the losers are put through the wringer. When Yumeko Jabami enrolls, she's decides to teach the students what a real high-roller looks like.

Just watched the first episode of Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler, still not sure on it, but may be worth a try overall. Comparisons to Akagi and Kaiji will be made for sure, but instead of ugly looking fucking dudes, we'll have an abundance slutty crazy bitches.

Three episodes have been subbed, I'm watching the RH (RickyHorror) version.

I love this. Crazy bitches everywhere and the main gal is just as insane if not more.

I wouldn't say I love this, but I'm warming up to it. Only thing that's been a disappointment so far is that all the gimmicks so far have been about cheating. Would like to see more skills displayed in the gambling.

But it's incredibly amusing so far I think.

The main male character is a pussy. Not sure why he even has a role in this so far.

The guy is there so the male audience can enjoy some masochist immersion.

Liking this anime so far, although I agree that the overreliance on cheating cheapens it a bit. Those council members have no right to act that high and mighty when all that´s between them and failure is a simple trick.

Was a bit lame that the rapey guy happened to be in Jabami´s group. It´s too obvious he´ll lose that way. Other then that, I have no idea how the current game works. Also, the whole game is kinda dumb. Do those indebted students not realize that they´re more likely to accumulate even more debt? Especially with Jabami and Mary this time. I´d have stood the fuck away this time.

And since we were questioning why "the guy" is there: I hope he somehow manages to form a proper relationship with Jabami. Maybe ... she can make him her private pet? ;>

Just watched episode 4 and 5:

Man, there's something I'm really enjoying about this series, even though as with you I didn't pay too much attention to how the whole game works, but whatever. Want to see more about the crazy chick with the gun, that's for sure.

As for episode 5, seems like RH is no longer doing it, and watched the CCM version (ChunChunMaru Subs):

    Well, just finished this series.

Another 12-episode series that doesn't follow through because it's merely an advertisement for the source material. In any case, this was a bit different than what I've usually watched, very over-the-top which was quite fun. Final confrontation was very anti-climatic though, but overall finished the series in a pleasant tone... just unsatisfactory.

Not sure if I'll go read the manga now, since part of the draw here was the over-the-top animation. We'll see I guess.

Me neither, particularly with how underwhelmed I was with the final portion.

    Season 2, episode 4:

I have to say this season has been ev3n more enjoyable than s1 so far. I love how Suzui is involved in most of Yumeko's scenes - hoping he can score a real romance with her this season! He'd be able to function as a 'back to reality'-pole when she keeps drowning herself in gambling craziness.

Saotome going after the presidency is interesting. Not seeing it at the moment, she's still too 'normal'.

Another hope is that the 2 -bami-guys aren't complete shit. Let the men win some, too! ;x

Anyway, great anime. Toughest question: Yumeko or Momobami? 🙈

I actually saw the live-action version of this on Netflix, it was awesome. Netflix is really getting deep with the stuff they animate and produce.

Watched it as opposed to watching the anime or did you do both?

I loved this season of Kakegurui. Yumeko is amazing as always. I loved the tower gamble the most.

Actually, I didn't even know this was an anime until after I saw the live action. I'll watch season 2 of the anime if it's different from the live action, though.
