I still think the first part of the old FMA is better than the same material in the new one. Brotherhood really rushes through the part that was already covered in the original series. And there's a lot of really important stuff there that doesn't deserve to be hurried through.

Hughs death is one of the most important things to happen in that series, and in Brotherhood it doesn't even feel like a huge deal because you barely even get to know that character before he dies.
