it has 26 volumes so far. volume 27 will be coming out in june/july (every 6 months). there could be tons of more anime episodes, but i don't know why they don't make it anymore. volume 27 is gonna be crazy.

ok I should start to read the manga real soon.
But why haven't they made a sequal to the anime.
The manga is still ongoing right? and then there should be plenty of stuff to make <u>at least </u>25 more episodes.
They could make another season... But they made the anime so fucked up that they would have to change a great deal of the story to make it good... But then again, that wouldn't be any good since the manga is much better...
One person that is introduced in the manga right in the first vol is Puck, an elf who travels with Gatts after the incident... And in the anime they never introduce him, instead they have Gatts save a girl instead of saving Puck... And there is also the fact that a Skeleton Knight is walking around the earth looking bad ass and kicking demon ass helping gatts... And he isn't properly introduced in the anime either... But i won't go on because that would spoil....
I can only give the advice of reading the manga from the beginning to get the whole picture of Gatts when he was young and everyone else
