    Game: Overwatch 1&2

Didn't see a thread about this game here.

First of all, some cool Blizzard animation/CGI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ09xdxzIJQ

I liked the beta alot, I'll play this game alot, and I'll enjoy it alot.
It's really a perfect game to do some rounds once in a while and it also has an extremely high skill ceiling due to how fast it is and to how difficult some heroes are. So it's a good pick for both hardcore and casual players. Every hero seems viable, some are weaker than others imho, but there is no "shit-tier" or "op-tier/must-have picks" whatsoever, and thats a really important thing.

And even though that would be enough of a reason to buy the game, the animations/emotes/potg-highlights and skins are all so beautiful that it's really fun to look at too.

I failed to find a good character to counter Tracer during the beta. One of my favourites is Mei. Defending with her is brilliant, and her long range icicle weapon is pretty viable. They better not nerf it.

Your traditional tank / DPS / healer trio works well for pushes (ie Reinhart, Bastion and Mercy respectively).

That said, I've had a lot of fun holding with Zarya as well.

Winston and Reaper are good Tracer counters, especially reaper. Soldier will win a 1v1 too but you can avoid him easily as tracer, so meh.

Nope, AU over here. I haven't played for a while and have lost a bit of touch with this.

It's still fun I guess, but not nearly as adrenaline-pumping as Rainbow Six Siege.

Oh, and people are still little bitches. That hasn't changed.

Oh. I moved to a EU nation. I've been using VPN to still play in Americas server with friends. Sometimes I do play in the EU server because ping is sooooo goood.

    Thanks shinta|hikari for the sig.

Ah, right. Yeah I've heard good things about EU being all incestuous having good pings between each other. I get 20-40ms ping to Australian servers, and 200ms ping to everyone else.

So, I'm still playing this and it's been my staple for the past few years.

Zenyatta and Tracer main. Tank flex to Rein/Winston/Zarya mainly because I'm not a good tank anyway.

I don't like what they're doing with OW2 though. Making it more a "class based FPS" instead of "FPS MOBA" kinda makes this into TF2, and I vastly enjoy this game more than TF2.

Well Overwatch 2 is here, and Overwatch 1 is no more aside from custom game modes.

I don't like OW2 as much. The characters move much faster it feels. I also liked the set-piece play OW1 had with its positioning and ult timing etc. Headshots are also much harder as a result.

And Mei went from CC "I'll tank your ice-gun until I'm almost frozen before I bail" gun to "It now fucking kills you" spray.

As Tracer, counterplay used to be "work around the CC, and shoot" but now everything throws damage at you, seem like they have smaller hitboxes and seem faster.

What I like in OW2 is that it isn't "Shield-Wars" anymore... but honestly? I think the Gundam-Overwatch game is more fun, lol.

I had to look that up. Now I'm a bit sad that Gundam Evolution isn't available to play in Australia.

OW2 has me branching out to some Genji and Echo though. Echo is pretty damn fun.

Zarya's a beast to play now as well. Even more than she was before.
