It's quite pitiful Megumin's explosion isn't powerful enough to slay one crusader. It can wreck castles but not kill a human. Thulsa Doom was right when he called flesh stronger than steel.
Lalatina is a legendary class crusader right? I can see 1 explosion not killing her. Megumin is just shit in that a a single explosion expends her mana. Wiz could have fired off two.

Canīt say I like how weak Meguminīs explosion is. Donīt care how "legendary" Darkness might be ... when youīre making yourself the perfect target for Meguminīs explosion, it should be a definite fatality.
And please, can we just an off-screen confirmation at some point that Kazuma banged Darkness? Too much innuendo. Stop the tease!

Agreed. They are both totally into it, and Can't Spit It Out is no longer in play because the demon straight up told them how they each feel.
It's not that Megumin's magic is weak. It's not. Darkness has that much defense, magic defense, and HP.
She'd be a great crusader except her accuracy/hit percentage is atrocious. Her only saving grace is that she actually enjoys being hit as their party's tank.
The only reason Megumin seems weak is that the only spell she knows is Explosion, and she constantly boosts it when she levels so she can never keep up her MP with its cost.
So what youīre saying is that Megumin is weak. Because EVEN THOUGH she specializes on explosion, she fails to hurt a single crusader.

No, I'm saying Darkness is abnormally strong. All of them are. It's their social issues and personalities that make them a shitty party.
Let's just say any other crusader would've died.

Megumin puts every single point in Explosion, but Darkness puts them all in defence (which is why she can't hit anything). However, Darkness is obviously older (judging by the size of her assets), so she has had more points to invest.
What happens when the ultimate attack hits the ultimate defence? Lots of noise, but little else.

Megumin nearly insta-killed a boosted Darkness. From what I understand she became a lot stronger when wearing that mask. So without it she would have most definitely died.

After all, the aim was to kill that General (who had a death wish anyway...). And I thought that the guy took most of the hit and Darkness was still that badly hurt even with that shield, her stats and armor. By no means is Megumin's explosion weak.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
She didn't seem badly hurt at all. All limbs attached, face recognisable. Even her hair wasn't burnt to a crisp. Losing some clothing/armour (not even all of it) is hardly badly hurt. She was basically knocked out with a few scrapes. That's it.
Everyone starts off with base stats. Kazuma had awesome luck/intelligence and not much else. The opposite is true for Aqua.
Wiz had way more MP than Megumin. Megumin is a poor choice for explosion magic - something that drains her MP in one go. She may not be a weak mage, but she chooses a shit way to go about it.
So yes, Megumin is a weaker mage than Darkness is a crusader because of how she applies herself.

*shrug* I feel like both are equally overspecialized. But they're both overspecialized in the thing they're SUPPOSED to be good at, so it's hard to complain.
Megumin's job is to blow shit up with magic. And that's what she does. Darknesses job is to tank damage. And that's what she does.
I'd say they're pretty much the same. After Megumin attacks, neither one is able to continue to battle. Darkness may not have died, but she couldn't keep fighting either.
So the eternal conundrum about the battle between the unbreakable shield and the unstoppable lance finally concludes.
They both get raped.
