Tale of the Shield Hero has a rather similar setting, but the MC aquires decent/awesome gear and skills.
I'd really love to see him wearing something more suited later in the story (not the adventure cape he's wearing in the picture)
...I've even seen a male-fullplate armor while googleing a picture for this thread, but it could've been the king-devil's for all I know.
