I was really disappointed when he just chopped his katana in half instead of just learning how to walk around with it. And then you get a new sword, and the first mission is all bow stuff...wtf. Why you gotta disrespect Chunchunmaru?
But yeah, Kazuma has really got a "one in the hand, two in the bush" situation he's put himself it. He's got two perfectly good, interested options, and he's going to set his goal on something unattainable.

Also, like, okay, he's not strong enough to wear the fancy full plate. But if he could afford the fancy full plate, why doesn't he buy some lighter armor at least?
I love that he's now like this weird thief/mage/archer/samurai hybrid.
Actually, now that I think about it, it almost feels like he's building his own ninja class. Stealth skills, elemental magic, ranged attacks, and now a short ninja sword?

He only wanted the katana for the same reason he wanted the flashy armor: To look cool. I reckon he doesn't really have any swordfighting skills, but he can fight with a dagger, so this wakizashi is better anyway.
He's class has ended up the rogue, but I guess it's for practical reasons, not because it's his dream or anything.

Also I wonder how many skills Kazuma has by now. I mean few basic elemental spells, Archery skills, Thief skills...Blacksmithing skills.
My guess is also that Eris is Chris. And it's not just because they share the same VA because they're both bit parts and studios recycle actors for that (though that could indeed be a hint).
If Chris is way more blushy around Kazuma the next time we see her, that'd pretty much confirm it.
I would have thought Aqua'd be more antagonistic towards Chris if she was secretly Eris.

Except he also has drain touch, a lich skill. That's not very rogue-like aside from it being cheap and underhanded. Even more unrogue-like are his magic skills like create water and freeze.
