Well...if they keep only doing 10 episodes a year, there's no real reason it can't. Season 1 covered 2 volumes and the novels seem to come out at a rate of about 2 volumes a year.
I really don't see it.
Sure, Kazama and Aqua are selfish.
But the only thing "wrong" is Darkness is she's a masochist. And there's not really anything wrong with that. Stop kink shaming.
And Megumin clearly just has a rival that she won't lose to. If that makes you a terrible person than every character in anime ever is terrible.

The problem with Darkness is the lengths she goes to just to satisfy her kink. Slapping her father around and ruining a marriage meeting by sword aren't benign in the least.
Megumin is not a terrible person.
Everyone else is.
Peace.
Ruining a marriage arrangement she doesn't want to be in in the first place makes her a bad person?
Arranged marriages are practically a form of slavery in the first place. She gets nothing but praise from me for not wanting to be a part of that system.
Her dad is sweetie though. I thought he was doing the whole "noble marrying his daughter off for politics" trope, but really he just wants grandkids and doesn't care who she marries.
Didnīt know DarthEnderX was such a misandrist.
"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court
Temperance in everything.
Peace.
The term "horrible" in this thread means negatively affecting someone else for your own gain.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
I guess none of you noticed that Megumin cheats in every competition she has with Yunyun. In remarkably petty ways. Redefining the rules midway, badgering her with specific rules so it is impossible for her to win, deliberately never accepting a challenge she would lose at, etc.
The only one she is listed as losing in her notebook is body development (because that's pretty objective).
That was the whole point of the Yunyun intro episode. Megumin is as petty and selfish as the rest of her group.
I don't think anyone was arguing with you that they are hopeless.
I was arguing with Ryll's assessment that they are all "incredibly terrible people".
Yeah but so what? The competitions are meaningless to anyone but the two of them. There are no stakes. Nothing is lost in losing or gained by winning. And YunYun is the one always challenging Megumin. So if she doesn't like losing all the time, she can just stop challenging her at any time.
A person's threshold for labeling someone an "incredibly terrible person" has to be pretty damn low if cheating at checkers would be enough to earn you the label.
I wouldn't want to be the first one to try in a given day...

Uh...Yunyun is challenging her in the present because she is desperate to make friends, and is trying to pass it off as confronting her "rival."
Megumin abuses their 'relationship' for personal gain.
In the past, as related to us by Yunyun, Megumin would challenge Yunyun with a biased competition every day, and steal her lunch. That's why Yunyun is still challenging her back, she believes the pretense and wants to remain in contact with Megumin because she's pathetically (or pitiably) lonely.
That qualifies for being a "terrible" person.
I don't think any of them are horrible, even if Ryll tried to correct my meaning to terrible. I called them hopeless, and I mean it. They all have so many shortcomings and their natures are so weak, even if they have specific strengths (like explosions). Yet they still manage to function as a group, more or less, and care about each other, at least as long as the others don't get in their way or piss them off too much. They are a pack of losers, all for different reasons, but they don't stop trying even if they are always destined to fail.
On another topic: Iīm kinda glad for Megumin that rapists donīt exist in this world.

They do. And she's a party member.
Peace.
It's clear that they already are friends. They're just the kind that coach their friendship in a rivalry. Like Kakashi and Gai. And it doesn't matter that Megumin cheats, because the contests are just an excuse for them to hang out together.
Episode 5 is out!
And the world needs more Darkness centered episodes. I'll be fine if they are all about her.
It would be nice if they went and visited Megumin and Yunyun's village. It might be a place to behold. Surprisingly enough Megumin's manga hasn't gone to any amazing depths to depict it.
A General goes down in one episode? Vanir wasn't nearly as cool as the Dullahan.
