If she got a good fruit, then maybe. Otherwise not so much. The rest of the crew had a destiny called Kuma on their side, sending them to highly beneficial if not necessarily nice places for very special training. I'm sure Vivi has been training all this time, but it has no doubt been training to be the next ruler of the country. Not to mention as essential, if not more so, have been the continuous life and death experiences the crew has gone through since, plus all sorts of potentially less dangerous but still exceptionally enlightening encounters and discoveries.

Nami isn't that weak anymore. Sure, compared to the real powerhouses, but she can take care of herself. She's vital as the navigator in any case, so even if the others have to dedicate effort to ensuring her safety, it's still very much worth it objectively as well. Vivi, however, wouldn't have a special role in that sense.

I liked Vivi's character back then. She also reduced the sausage fest factor, but this isn't any place for her anymore. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if Straw Hats did have a cute female member, like Koala, for example. Nami's looks are certainly cute, but she has quite an ugly personality.

The semantics through which Vivi could come back are irrelevant, it is certainly possible for her to be back and be useful through any array of explanations (crazier things have happened). You can say it`s impossible all you want, but in the end the only determinating factor will be whether or not Oda decides to bring her back.

    Episode 742 - HS

    - - - -- -

I wish Zoro had had a chance to fight Fujitora. While his fight with the soprano bastard did have some jolly good moments, that fool Pica was still a huge coward who was always fleeing and hiding so it wasn't a real swordfight. Fujitora would obviously fight head-on.

Much of the episode was wasted on flashbacks, but at least Rebecca and Kyros weren't separated. Although I don't see why she couldn't become a princess just fine. Kyros is a hero, so I doubt that utterly ruined country would object to his presence. It's not like they would need to name him a prince or something just because he's her father. Just make him a captain of the royal guard.

Yeah, but then he'd have to lose, because it's still too early in the series for Strawhats to be able to defeat Admirals.

That crisis actually ended nicely enough, without a need to explain how the ships could have survived Fujitora's attack. The population of the country got a good opportunity to express their gratitude. Fujitora himself also shouldn't face too much trouble for this as even the most scumbaggish of admirals might hesitate to decimate the civilian population of a country that was for years oppressed by a villain under the world government's own supervision.

The idea of Luffy having a fleet is awesome, but I just know it's not happening.

Luffy doesn't want a big crew. I doubt he cares about running a fleet.

This is gonna be like the time with the Foxy Pirates where he accepts their leadership, then dismisses all of them.

Obviously he's not going to let thousands of people to sail in line after him. Even if he accepted, he would do as you said and tell the people to sail out wherever they want and do whatever they want. The Straw hat pirates seem to respect freedom above everything else, after all. The only times Luffy orders the others around is when Nami or Usopp try to keep him away from an interesting (=dangerous) place, when they try to interfere with his fight, or when they try to steal his meat. There's no other captain like that, and certainly a captain like that isn't suited to actively lead a huge fleet. He could accept the role, but I don't see him doing anything much with it, at least for now.

I see it more as like what Whitebeard had with his alliances. The Whitebeard pirates is its own crew with its own men and ships, but when Whitebeard declared war on the marines, the entire fleet comprised of all his allies rallied behind him.

Well obviously I didn't think they were all going to ride on the Thousand Sunny.

I don't think Luffy is even interested in doing that though.

I think Luffy intends to take after Shanks who, as far as I know, doesn't have any other ships sailing under him. But he's still one of the Four Emperors.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's the end of that arc. Looks like we got Filler next week.

    Bartolomeo's ship is a riot.

    BOUNTIES!

I'm gonna be pissed of Doflamingo get's rescued right away.

So...the CP9 guys are just in CP0 now? I thought there were cover stories where they reformed or something. I get Lucci and Kaku, but how the fuck does Spandam keep getting work?

Pretty nice bounties. Aside from Chopper they all have already bounties that many regular pirate captains would be envious of. Zoro boasts a bounty many greater captains would dream of.

But then again, when was the last time these bounties really mattered?

I'm not going to watch the filler, so I'm counting on you to announce when it's over!

Did he have connections? All in all he seemed like such an unremarkable person that it seems likely he got his position due to his family background. There's no way I'd remember even if he did.

If I recall, the cover story adventures featured the whole CP 9 crew except for Spandam and Lucci.
