    Funny thing is that he has been splitting the clouds for a while now. Not on that scale but it isn't the first time he has done that.

    Someone said he split the clouds when he clapped Mosquito Girl. I never actually picked that up when I watched it. Reference would be nice just so I know what you're talking about.

    I assumed it was when he splattered her against the building. If that's not it then that makes sense because I didn't look elsewhere very hard.

    I did remember him doing something similar during his almost-connected-death-punch while training with Genos.

    Yeah he did the same with Genos. It wasn't split clearly like it did in the final episode but they were definitely split. He didn't do the same with Deep Sea King but he made the rain stop.

    Oooh. I kept looking around the building immediately after the splat. It never occurred to me that the clouds would split perpendicular to his strike.
