I suppose Potaro fusions are allowed then? I mean it's not a weapon or something. I doubt U7 brought those along so perhaps they'll take em from Kalifla or w/e her new name is.
Potara earrings are common among universe gods, so I guess Kale and Caulifula have that option available. The image angle was quite clear too

They've been doing ~1 minute per episode for the entire tournament.

That said, Zeno was okay with ignoring the rule if the result was "really cool" as with Roshi's Mafuba. And considering how cool fusion is, I'm betting he'd let it slide.
And if he does, that would be awesome, because it means that the possibility of Vegitto or 17+18 is in play.
Do keep in mind the tournament rules are dictated by a couple of literal toddlers. Rules bending is expected.

Also, if they fuse, then it would take some of the complaints off of them being able to go SSJ3. Since Fusion seems to facilitate that transformation. We know this because Gotenks can turn SSJ3, when Trunks and Goten can't even go SSJ2 on their own.

I feel like, with only 20ish minutes left in the tournament, that SHOULDN'T happen. Even Gotenks could maintain SSJ3 for longer than that.
Gotenks could maintain SSJ3 for like, 5 minutes? Also, the stronger you are the less the fusion lasts, and again, it's *never* been enough.

Fusion dance lasts 30 minutes by default.
I know they said SSJ3 shortened it, but I don't think they ever stated by how much.
I know GT isn't canon anymore or at least perhaps a different timeline. But SSJ4 Gogeta didn't even last 5 minutes did he?

Man, I didn't think they'd take the whole episode to get to the fusion.
Also, I know fusion is powerful and all, but the fact that she's seems stronger than a SSJ God in her base form is kinda dumb.
I wonder if Vegeta is going to have to fuse with Goku just to beat them.
Goku just masters Ultra Instinct while fighting them, which wakes Jiren up. Then we get Goku vs Jiren Round 2.

She shouldn't be in her base form. They fused when transformed so their transformed state should be their normal one. Wasn't that how it worked? The strain would be too big on them if they fused while transformed?
