Not really, considering they spent an entire episode explaining that opponents from different universes use different kinds of energy that Goku and friends cannot sense. They also spent a lot of time talking about special abilities. There were a lot of options to make ths interesting despite the existing power levels, but instead they threw their hands up in the air and did whatever.
Disclaimer: I only responded to another user. I had not intention to talk about power levels myself.

You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful. -Marie Curie

Had Roshi not fallen out of the stage and died wouldn't frost be eliminated for technically killing Roshi?

I disagree. Immediately after the Mafuba failed the first time there was that shot of Frost looking over his shoulder at Vegeta. From that moment on, I think everything Frost did, luring Vegeta into the fight, holding him off with Magetta, goading Roshi into using the Mafuba on him again, was all so he could turn the Mafuba around on Vegeta.

Good stuff. Though frankly, I don't know what the point of the deception was. Freeza is so much stronger than Frost, there's no reason he couldn't have just overpowered him right from the start.
I feel like them explaining Freeza's probable goal this early on ensures that either it won't happen, or that's not even his plan.
Wow good episode. I guess the Yardrat is not as tough as I thought. So scratch that possibility. I guess it is really Jiren.
They gimped the Yardrat guy. What would Gohan have done if he had simply touched and teleported him above the abyss? Lame.
Also, Freezer is my favorite DBS character. And yes, I also don't quite get the need for deceiving Frost.

On the one hand, I wouldn't want Freeza to become the new Zeno, on the other, I could totally get behind him becoming a God of Destruction.
Particularly if it's against someone who loves tricking as well. A showdown between tricksters is right up Freiza's alley.
Freiza's right about fucking everyone up decisively early on. He should just go around cleaning out trash, then we can all watch the real tournament when they actually try.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Anyone here following Dragon Ball FighterZ and have an opinion on Android 21?
This video mostly has the same theory I immediately had.
That makes logical sense, but would be boring.
Even if they don't last very long, I want to see all these characters unique tricks.
Since there's no new episode this week, I thought maybe you guys might want to check out this months issue of the manga.
The exhibition match before the start of the Universal Tournament? Instead of Goku and co vs. the three wolf guys, it's a battle between the 12 Gods of Destruction.
I really wish they'd give Beerus more fights in the anime.
