The problem is you guys are discussing the QUALITY of Dragonball...
Peace.
Well, hereīs the thing, letīs make it simple:
Would any of your really choose DBSuper over any of DBZīs arcīs? Iīd honestly be baffled if anybody thought that THIS is better than the Freezer-, Cell- or Boo-arc. The gap is enormous.

Yes, I would, just to troll you.
Just kidding
I quit Super after 2 episodes. I couldn't stand Goku's voice, which they never changed for some inexplicable reason.
Peace.
dont think that anyone can compare both series, one has almost 300 episodes while the other only 30? i mean, this is less than half of the freezer saga...
we can only wait to see the end of the tournament... going by marvel's logic, each time an entity gets enough power in earth, it puts in danger the world because outside life form starts to be afraid of their power and then might decide to attack earth...
if we put this perspective into the multiverse that toriyama is making, then after this tournament we could start seeing other universe attack goku's universe with the intention to annihilate it...
or... there is still one dragon planet ball missing, so we could see a new arc to actually go find it...
the 3 core idea of dragon ball by itself from what i remember are:
go to a fighting tournament
find the dragon balls
stop the big bad boss that wants to destroy everything
so we pretty much got twice the third option (beerus and golden freezer) and now we are in the middle of the first option...

Oh look. Now that they've introduced multiple universes, they've introduced a King of ALL Universes. Isn't that a shocking swerve no writer would EVER think of?
There definitely won't eventually be a God of all universes either at some point.
Anyway, I don't like that Hit took a dive. It would have been better of Goku and Hit both knocked each other out/out-of-bounds, and Monaka simply won by default.
So far, I'm enjoying Super more than Buu.
They`re both around the same quality to be honest, it`s just that DBZ came first.
As for the seriousness of all, there`s been what? five tournaments? how many of them were life and death situations?
Vs. Roshi = No
Vs. Tien = No
Vs. Picollo = Yes
Vs. Ubb = No
Vs. Hit = No
You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful. -Marie Curie
It still annoys me that this battle denied all and any logic. NO MATTER how fast Goku is, time stopped is absolute. We all know from Jojo what that means.
Good to see the obvious king of the universes. Now letīs see if some real danger arises.

Is not unlimited time stop though...

That one ginyu force guy had a time stop skill as well. It seemed to last a few seconds though... make sme think hit's time stop is inferior. :/
Actually... you cán be at least on par with time. Photons (light particles) don't experience time. From the moment a photon is created to the moment of it's destruction, to that photon, 0 time has passed.
Apparently, time 'moves' at the speed op light. So by the rules of dragonball, if you move faster than light, you outpace time.
Never thought I'd bring astrophysics to a discussion on dragonball.
Some people even rack their brains out into thinking theories to describe our universe, without using the concept of time.
It's a tad hard to follow though
Thanks Harima for digging that up. That's exactly what I remembered. And I remember Vegeta chopped his head quickly, because the guy was neither strong nor fast enough at the time.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
There is nothing difficult about it: As portrayed in Dragon Ball, when time is stopped, itīs stopped. Nothing but the user of the time stop ability moves at this point. Thatīs all. Considering this, there is no way for Goku to avoid Hitīs attacks. Hit has lengthened his time frame of stopped time, so he can easily cover the distance between him and Goku and hit him in a way in a place where it would destroy him. And thereīs nothing Goku could do about it. Trying to assume where Hit might attack is useless, because Hit can stop time for so long, he could simply stop it while theyīre stand in front of each other, staring into each othersī eyes, THEN stop time, move up to Goku, KILL him if heīd like to, and then time flows naturally again and Goku is done for. Hit doesnīt slow down time, he stops its flow entirely (as did Guldo). No matter how fast Goku is, he cannot break stopped time.

I thought the theory of light speed is that at the speed of light, time stops. If you go faster than light, time goes backwards. So technically... you can beat a time stop skill.
LOL, now everyone is just trolling Mfauli.
Peace.

I thought Guildo said he could stop time but in the end just had strong psychokinesis. He just trapped people with that and made them think he had it. He even pulled out a tree with it.
