Whiz did that because he has attachments to Earth. Mostly because it's where Goku and Vegeta live. Plus all of the food. So I think he didn't do it just to screw over Freeza. The Grand Priest has no such attachments so reversing time would be a bit odd. Plus it would mean he would be strong enough to UNDO Zeno's Universal destruction. Which to me would be a bit too OP for someone who isn't the strongest being out there.

but arent angels there for when gods of destruction missteps and they can correct their mistakes? for example when beerus was sleeping he would sneeze and destroy entire planets, with whis reverting time?

same thing for zeno and the grand priest? with zeno being the god of destruction for whole universes and the "angel" there to correct his mistakes...

its not like they have any time now to do a proper ending anyway...

I think you mean Goku. Vegeta wouldn't have known to do that because Vegeta was one of the people that got rewound.

Well. that was just a full half hour of giant fucker laser punch battle.

When the backlash first hit Goku, I though for SURE that Freeza had backstabbed him.

I'm surprised the fighting is continuing into the final episode. The conclusion must be fast as shit.


I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in Ultra Instinct. What was originally introduced as a power that was very philosophically different from Goku's other form Ultimately ended up just being Super Saiyan Silver. In the end, all it seemed to do was make him stronger and faster...again.

And seriously, why would a form that's based around oneness of mind even HAVE a huge backlash like that?

Well yes, but Goku isn't even in his UI trance anymore. He's just shimmery, shiny and silver.

It's kind of important for them to comment on the fact that Jiren is fast and attacking in patterns such that Goku can not physically avoid them - if that's what he's doing.

I would accept that as an explanation (and that's what ought to happen) except that Goku barely looks like he's in UI mentality anymore, and that the writers have more likely than not just abandoned the core idea behind UI entirely now.

Just look at how they gave Jiren a similar aura.

Fair enough. I can agree with that. I said as much earlier. They took what was presented as a completely new fighting philosophy and just turned it into Super Saiyan 6.

I can only assume that he did something to Vegeta's final attack, and then hid during the explosion. Since he can't run out of energy, he wouldn't be unable to move like Vegeta was.

I agree with most of what is said and I honesty don't see why UI is even in DBS. The whole point of UI was to master movement without thinking to conserve energy and avoid taking damage or being hit. UI does none of that and when UI is activated it is like a Kaiokenx10000 where all your energy is exhausted in 60 seconds.

You know what this reminds me of? That one anime where the guy has a skill that unleashes all his energy in 60 seconds.

Aside from that, I hope TOEI or Akira Toriyama decides to do away with Ultra Instinct as it is a pointless technique that does not do what even Whis says it should be doing from the earlier episodes.

They should go back to the Saiyan power rather than this UI bullshit.

Jiren who is not suppose to have UI is as strong as UI Goku who only has 60 seconds in UI form to finish a fight versus Jiren who does not have UI but apparently has none of the draw backs that UI has. In all honesty, Jiren should have demolished Goku on that fact alone.

If you have UI you can't lose unless you either run out of stamina or the opponent's base speed is overwhelmingly superior to yours - at least that's how it's supposed to work.

I call BS that Zeno could play mind games like the head priest said. He may have come up with the idea for Zeno to say yes to, but more likely than not this is a throw in line so we don't think on Zeno as some asshole.

But the plot complaints don't matter because holy shit that final fight scene was amazing. Goku+Freeza was off the fucking chain! I can't believe it only actually lasts 2 minutes.

And I fucking love that Freeza is just back now. Sorry Freeza, even death can't save you from being befriended by Goku eventually.

just wished that the revival of all the universes to be under the same universe, that way vegeta and goku could have gone to the saiyans planet without much trouble...

i even would like a GT style of series where the main cast just go from planet to plant (in this case universe to universe) just for the interaction with the cooler universes

also by the end, Jiren got a power up from his base form (he finally found the power of friendship!) and goku went back to his blue base form, so jiren is waaaaaaaay stronger than goku once again, hell maybe even vegeta is stronger than goku now if he is able to pull his SS Bluer
