This was something else imo, because it was even less sensical than usual. When character can suddenly fight on par with Goku, ... ok. Whatever.
But in this episode, I´m supposed to believe that there´s an enemy with a beam attack that would instantly kill/heavily injure Goku if he´d get hit by it? He cannot hit away at the incoming beam? Evade it? No? BS,

You mean like when Vegeta knocked goku with one hit even though he theorically shouldn't have fallen unconscious? like how goku got hurt by a bullet? or like when Sorbet used a very similar attack? or like when Frost used some poison that has no bussiness budging Goku? Or like when a measle heart complication potentially killed the man that was supossedly da legendary super saiyan? Or like when Picolo's attack pierced Raditz, who was much stronger than him (and Picollo straight up said it has the same properties)? Or like how they expicitly showed that Krillin's Kienzan, an attack from a vastly inferior enemy could hurt Napa?
U7 can't evade because he doesn't knows where it's coming from, he has different firing angles because of the balls, they don't know where the bad guy is because Goku has stated (on several ocassions) that enemies from certain universes cannot be sensed.
You have full right to complain about a show, but when you need to do the exact same complain each two episodes or so, it becomes stale, DBS already stated this to be a thing, ignore it or move on.
I don't like GOT, i mentioned it once and never looked back. I don't like Highschool of the dead, did the same.

Let's just go with the fact that when they are aware of it, they can defend against it. Focusing ki into defense. If caught unaware they are still stronger than normal people but can still be injured.

At a certain level, even piercing attacks don't work. See: Destructo Disk to the back of Cell's neck.
The main reason I think Goku and Vegeta keep getting hurt by these attacks is because they're constantly walking around not transformed. These attacks would probably bounce off SSJ Blue. But they don't want to run around in Blue the whole time because it drains their stamina.

Because they can see it coming and because they normally require set up, they can easily dodge these attacks under normal circumstances, unless you're held up by your younger saiyan brother or whatever..

Okay...Roshi officially made Tien and Krillin look like chumps.
While I'm glad Vegeta didn't go out like a bitch, Frost's plan was actually great, too bad he let his guard down.

Power levels aside ... sigh ... I kinda liked this episode. Frost´s plan to get rid of Vegeta felt serious, and almost worked. Beerus giving praise to Muten-Roshi also felt nice.
