IMHO, as a human Videl has had a better potential than Kuririn. And I mean she had a lot more potential.
She unlocked flight in mere days, on her own qualities, without magical/plot device help. But she married the wrong guy,who doesn't even care about his own potential.
Also, is Kuririn really human by DB standards ? Back to the nose problem...

Kuririn was stronger than Videl even when he was, was, 12 years old as a pupil of Mutenroshiīs. Remember the 2nd tournament when he and Goku fought each other? Video never was on that level. And Kururin, too, learned flying by himself.
Again, Iīm not saying itīs easy to explain a reasonable powerupgrade for humans. But ... I feel it would be possible.
Worse case: All the weak non-saiyan characters (which even C17 counts for) get to partake in the upcoming tournament and can keep up with NO explanation given at all. Now that would suck :/

they could give the kaioken to most of the humans... which is a multiplicant like SSJ and the most skilled humans can get stronger kaiokens... the problem is the draw back of the form...
if they would say that humans can minimize the kaioken's drawbacks then it would allow them to use it more often, but then again we have the hybrid saiyans which will receive both passives...
Yeah, C17 is stronger than Kuririn, but both are infinitely closer in power than, say, C17 and Goku. Even Gohan is closer to Kuririn than to Goku.

For Videl, I was just saying her potential is greater than Kuririn's.
But she didn't hone her skills except for some days with Gohan. And in such a short time she was gifted enough to learn flight.
She should have married a true martial artist and keep honing her skills, IMHO she had the potential to be stronger than Kuririn.
As for Kuririn's nose, in the original DB it has been stated he doesn't have one. His oponent was using an awfully stinking attack. Kuririn was reflexively reacting to it until Goku reminded him he has no nose and thus can't smell the attack...
Of course, the author can forget a detail of the long past...

Okay, it was bad enough that Krillin let himself go to the point where a bullet could hurt him again, but the idea that Goku has dropped to that point after a season of farming is ridiculous. Am I really supposed to believe he's dropped all the way to Dragon Ball levels at this point?
The idea that you can backslide so quickly is either really stupid or really disappointing.
Otherwise, yeah, episode was all setup. Which is fine, cause it seems like this arc is goona be a doozy.

We know chi is like a force field, and if they want to establish that bullets are only stopped by chi, that's fine, but that's not what's been established previously.
Characters have been shot by surprise before. It's literally one of the first things that ever happened in Dragon Ball, Goku literally says that his body is as strong as steel when it happens.
Indeed. Vegeta has this thing we call "character development" that Goku is completely lacking in. MasakoX made a video about this.

But from what I gather from the title of next week....the losers get their universe destroyed or only themselves. But seeing as it's Zen-O here....it's most likely their universe. Also like how this ep shows that Vegeta is a lot kinder than Goku. At least he knows what a family is and the importance of it. Saying no to training to look after his pregnant wife? Good on ya.

I think the whole getting injured thing has to do with your focus. I mean he let his guard down when he thought the last one was out for the count thus getting injured. But that's just a theory.

Yeah so...Goku is history's greatest monster and he don't even give a shit.
I can only assume the training montages before the real tournament are going to be extensive, hence the need for the exhibition match to all a few actions scenes into this arc before we get out of it for awhile.
Zen is pretty much child like.
So you can always hope he'll forget about erasing universes.
Also, super DBs might have the power to nullify Zen actions. They did not state the erasing Zen does is permanent.

That does seem like the most obvious conclusion. Zeno erases each universe as it loses, then Goku wishes them all back after he wins.
I also wonder if Whis' father also posseses the power to revert things the way they were in case Zen messes-up.

I think all of the 'Angels' have the power to reverse time in case their God of Destruction goes too far. Like a fail-safe.
