    FFVII Remake

I figured this needed it's own thread.

I am psyched for this. My PS4 can actually be useful.

I hope this is real and not some massive troll for SE.

What are reasons 1 and 2?

For the XOne: Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5.

If you can only have one I mean.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

It's a tie between Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV for the top spot. Whenever they decide to come out that is.

Kingdom hearts is coming on the Xbone though.

Oh yeah, forgot about Uncharted 4. So that's another reason to get a PS4.

I wasn't planning on buying a PS4, since I rarely play console games anymore, but this announcement has convinced me otherwise.

Add to that Kingdom Hearts III and Star Ocean 5... looks like I'll have plenty to do in early 2016.

Final Fantasy XV, however, doesn't look that exciting to me.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take Nep.

Oh snap. I didn't know Star Ocean 5 was announced. Add that to my list for reason #4.

Yeah, the trailer didn't show much, other than the characters running through a few areas. I think it said Spring of 2016 was the expected release.

I might actually go back and play through that series. SO3 was one of my favorite games back in the day.

I wonder if they plan on releasing an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts for the PS4, like they did on PS3. They did that with Final Fantasy X (released on both). I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and get them.

I didn't even get to see enough of it to know that.

I did see Advent Children, though. I wonder if they are going to change the story.

Advent Children is set some years after FF VII. I don't see a reason to change FF VII remake.

My Advent Children comment had no relationship with me asking if they will change the story. I just neglected to press the Enter key twice.

This is indeed the perfect time to play it, I would replayed it, but I know the game by heart already.

I've sworn off jrpgs in favor of crpgs like temple of elemental evil and divinity: original sin, but I'll revisit ff7 for sure. Some of my most cherished memories in gaming were with that game.
"You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."
