    Shirobako

    Synposis:
Aoi will never forget how she felt the day her high school animation club's labor of love was shown at the cultural festival. The sense of awe and the feeling of accomplishment that came with completing their very first project are exactly what encouraged Aoi and her club mates to enter the animation industry in the first place. But two years later Aoi has graduated, and now that she works as a production assistant for a big-name animation studio, the daunting reality of her job has somewhat diminished her enthusiasm. Despite the long hours and the punishing schedule, Aoi still hopes to fulfill the promise she and her club friends Ema, Shizuka, Misa, and Midori made: to one day reunite and make a real animated feature of their own as professionals!

The latter half is absolutely awesome. An inside view about how anime is made is very informative and entertaining. The characters are also hilarious. I think the strongest point of this show is its execution.

Anyone else watching this? Final episode airs next week. The second half is much better than the first, so for those who gave up early on, I strongly implore you to continue. You will be rewarded.

I tried searching for an existing thread for this but did not find any. If it does exist, please delete this.

Easily one of the best anime recently.
Somehow PA Works turned this gem out after the horrible abomination that was Glasslip.

You can tell the studio just had fun making this show, and there is so much meta.
And oh, the glorious Miyamori faces/reactions.

Leaving out the best one from the latest episode because spoilers.

I chuckled each time the show itself has been delayed due to "production issues". Seriously though, a very insightful and entertaining piece. They actually managed to take a genuinely annoying character (Toru) and make him... less so by his interactions with the slacker.

Great last episode to a great series.

I highly recommend watching this to completion AND THEN watch Isuca for the lulz.

I just marathonned this. Without exaggeration, it's one of the best shows I've seen recently. One of the hardest things to do right is the ending, and they managed to do it here without any forced feelings. It was predictable that Zuka would have to make it into the picture by the end, but it still felt powerful thanks to the Lucy scenario she was involved in.

    Characterisation was also top notch.

But the best thing I liked? People drink. And get drunk. But not from orange juice. This is a grown-up's show!

Ironically it tied in with the idea that you had to stick with something for longer before you can see its strengths.

I don't want a sequel for this. It's good as it is.
