Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru

Story Synopsis from Crunchyroll:
Yuna Yuki is an ordinary second-year middle school student. She gets up in the morning, gets ready for school, goes to classes, participates in club activities, and has fun with her friends. But there is one extraordinary thing about Yuki -- she belongs to the “Brave Hero Club.” What does the Brave Hero Club do? Who is the mysterious being called “Vertex?” Yuki Yuna and her friends’ story takes place in Year 300, Era of the Gods.
This was an awesome surprise for this season. I marathoned this after finishing UBW, and it was a fantastic ending to this stellar season.
This is a quasi-deconstruction of the magical girl genre. While it has some similarities to Madoka, its strong points are quite different. The fight scenes are better due to the art not being Shafted. The battle theme is also amazing and gets the blood pumping.
The comedy is solid, and the drama does not feel forced. It becomes pretty dark in the latter episodes. This is a must-watch, especially for those who liked Madoka or Nanoha.

I don't really care about translations because I can understand Japanese, so I only watched the horriblesubs one.
