I'm feeling a little tired of FT being so "slugfesty" of late. It's always been that way and I've complained about it since the beginning, but the Magic Games concentrates it so much.

I'm feeling a little tired of FT being so "slugfesty" of late. It's always been that way and I've complained about it since the beginning, but the Magic Games concentrates it so much.

Even the Wendy vs Chelia match was reduced to a fist fight before the end. That's just how Fairy Tail is. Especially when the combatants start to run out of juice, that's how it will be decided. It kind of makes sense as well. Fancy and complicated, indirect magic hasn't oft decided any fights in this show (with the exceptions like Lucy's Urano Metria). Tactics have pretty much never decided anything, but they rarely do in shounen.

Nevertheless, I don't mind that at all. Especially this Laxus vs Jura is a fight I was looking forward to see animated.

I was kinda disappointed that the "GREAT WIZARD SAINT" beats people with karateing...

And not even, like, cool Hadoken karateing.


This is honestly the only fight that feels like Fairy Tail could lose. Erza sure isn't going to lose, and neither is Grey and Juvia.

I assume Garjeel is going to have to go up against Sting next just to prove that he's as good as Natsu.

Hmm, maybe.

If Fairy Tail wins all of their other fights, I don't think it would be possible for Lamia Scale to catch up to Fairy Tail even if Jura were to defeat all of them. Fairy Tail as a whole is only worth 9 points. Grey, Cheria and Minerva and Sting are worth 8, and Fairy Tail is already ahead of Lamia Scale.


But it'd be more likely that Jura would be worn down eventually.
