This is now my new favorite plot development ever! Perfectly timed too!


Naruto giving everyone the Demon Fox cloak was also really cool. It allows them to bring a bunch of characters that were too far behind to be of any use at this point in the story to be able to do something again. But now, it's like having just two badguys against an army of Jinchuuriki. It doesn't feel like the villains have the upper hand anymore.

Of course, that all changes if Sasuke and Oro bring all 4 of the Hokages into the fight. Whether it be on Madara's side, or even on a 3rd side trying to wreck both of the others.

But none of this is the part that really matters, which is that, if Orochimaru just got his arms back, then the other half of the Nine-tails chakra is on it's way to Naruto right now.

Which means another sweet shonen powerup. And this one is in no way an ass-pull. It was completely established within the story beforehand.


I'm just so happy about this. I always wanted Naruto to find a way to free his father and the Kyuubi from the Death God's stomach(or that Madara would do it to obtain that half of the Kyuubi for the TenTails). This isn't how I expected it to happen, but it's still awesome that it did.

I even like the method of the Jutsu. Summon the god in yourself and then cut your own stomach open? Awesome.

Although those Zetsu were awfully convenient. They had the exact number needed to sacrifice for the Hokage, give Oro a new body(which he should be happy to have because, hey, free Senju DNA, now he just needs the Sharingan he's always wanted), and for Juugo to restore himself.

Quite an august company that Oro summoned. They ought to be able to answer a few of Sasuke's questions, assuming Sasuke even is in the mood of listening to any answers he might not like.

Also, I'm not sure if it had ever come up before, but this is the first time I've been sure that switching bodies with that Ichigo looking guy never gave him back his arms. I always thought it was ambiguous up until now. He seemed to fight 4-tails Naruto just fine without them, and I'm pretty sure his arms haven't been limp since then, but I guess they never had chakra in them or something? So he still couldn't make hand seals?

I guess the question now is, why didn't he do this sooner?

I mean, it seems like all you need is a mask from an apparently abandoned Uzumaki shrine, and a body to possess after sacrificing your current one. I would have thought both of those things would have been easily obtainable for Orochimaru to get his arms back.

Also, didn't they basically do the Ino-Shika-Cho formation backwards? The point is to use Shadow Bind to hold the target so that Ino can take control. Instead, Ino took control so that they could Shadow Bind. That doesn't make sense. If Ino had control of Obito, she should have easily been able to do more with that than she did. Especially empowered by the Ninetails the way she was.

Yeah, but that's because they, literally, walked right past them, right in the middle of town.

This shrine is supposedly abandoned, and on the outskirts of the village. I would think getting in, grabbing the mask, and getting out without getting spotted should have been fairly simple.

In any case, if what you said was true, Konoha wouldn't deserve to call themselves a ninja village. They should keep a proper watch on all of their resources, the immediate vicinity of the village above all. If the enemy can surround the village before anybody bothers to notice inside the village, it's already to late.

No, I'm 100% sure all of this was due to practically no ninja remaining in Konoha.

It's obvious that NOBODY in Konoha actually knew about this. If they did, I don't think they'd have left the souls of their most exalted leaders to rot inside the stomach of a ghost for all this time.

They did say it was an Uzumaki shrine, so the Death God seal is probably an ancient Uzimaki sealing technique or something. I don't remember if they said Minato created the Death God seal or not, but it seems obvious that he learned it by researching the techniques of his wife's clan.

The scroll with the unsealing technique is probably a relic Oro or Kabuto found in some ancient Uzumaki ruins.

Well, they did have that weird sensory bubble surrounding the village during the Invasion of Pain arc.

But this shrine might not have even been inside that bubble, given that it was apparently far enough outside the village that it wasn't leveled when Pain destroyed the entire city the way the Uchiha shrine was.


Speaking of which, they sure did a good job of building Konoha back into the same jumbled mess it was before being destroyed in a hurry. I know Sasuke says it's all different, but it sure doesn't look that way.

There's no way it was just wide open like that, far away from the village, unguarded and unmonitored. I'm thinking we can safely assume it's either within the "bubble", maybe watched by those dudes in the towers, and preserved as a memorial/shrine.

Honestly, at the moment, it feels like Oro is content being Sasuke's lackey.

He already knows he can't take over Sasuke, and so far, Sasuke has brought him back from the dead(for real, not as a zombie), gotten him his arms back, and a sweet body full of Senju DNA.

Sure, it's not a Sharingan, but he's still way ahead of the game.

And who knows, there may be some Sharingans left over by the time this war ends that he can snatch up. In fact, if Obito ends up sacrificing himself to resurrect Madara, which seems necessary for Madara to evolve to final boss mode, that's a free Sharingan right there. Free Rinnegan too.

Most ninja seem of the type that they'd consider serving their village for eternity a sacred duty that they'd be honored to fulfill.
