Now that takes some doing, to shatter a meteor like that. Not very realistic, there should at least be some considerable collateral damage from this. These contrived battles are wearying. He could of come up with a better opponent for Zaraki to show off his new found strength against. There isn't even any sword on sword action which is the best thing about bleach. The battles are the only draw this manga has. He either needs to do the smart thing and just imagine that Zaraki does not exist or get one shot in the next chapter so we can move on to better things.
Zaraki is at his best when he is up against another psychotic sword wielder like Nnoitora or Unohana or even Ichigo. This is just a waste and we still have Ichigo's obligatory "I just got a new power up so I need a seemingly strong yet ultimately irrelevant opponent to show off against for 10 chapters" before we get down to business.

Pretty sure they said back a long time ago that Zaraki leeches reiatsu so his sword is always in shikai... they done fucked up
The same thing was true of Ichigo pre-Soul Society (that he was just leaking reiatsu) and his shikai looked completely different from his pre-training sword.Originally Posted by lelouch

For an actual fuckup, Zaraki left his eyepatch behind to go train with Unohana and came straight to the battlefield with it on, and he shouldn't even be wearing it since he can control his reiatsu and speak with his sword now so it's a double fuckup.
Didn't he wear the eyepatch to limit his own power so that he could enjoy the battle longer and not because he couldn't control it?
This is precisely why he wears the eye patch.
