Hmm, I can't tell which side are the badguys. Arcadios has been portrayed as a villain so far in this arc, but his objective seems noble if it's not a lie.
And the other guy makes sense in a Prime Directive kind of way. But he also looks like a Royal Chancellor. And Chancellors are ALWAYS evil.

It's still a pretty tough team. There's no way they could have kept Natsu away from the rescue team, so this was the only choice. Though throwing Wendy, a child, in the rescue one is pretty funny, but she's supposed to be a full-blown dragon slayer, so why not. I guess they wouldn't have had too many spare alternatives to choose from anyway.Originally Posted by DarthEnderX

You are forgetting that Fairy Tail has one dragon slayer more: Laxus. He might be second generation and artificial, but he's quite strong nonetheless. Sabertooth has two dragon slayers in, so with Gajeel and Laxus in the arena team, Fairy Tail is no worse. That's probably what the audience wants as well. As much as male viewers would enjoy Mirajane, it's still fighting they want to see when they go to a colosseum.
If they switch too many people out of their "strongest team" it would look suspicious. At least Natsu has a reason for not being there, as far as the guards are concerned. And yes, being a male viewer I'm very glad that Mirajane has a role to play in this.
By the way, does anyone find this week's panning stutter more than usual?
