Sure. I was referring to the fact she couldn't come up with anything more than Aoba when checking out his mecha, either. They can't be that different, in the end. So, it suggests it never visited her mind she could possibly do anything, which would be natural if the Zogilia empire's mecha didn't have such functionality in the first place (to prevent what I said in the previous post).

    So...part one is over.

Buddy Complex is basically Gundam with a time travel plot. It's retarded, but I enjoyed it. I even look forward to the sequel. Like to see how they integrate Hina into the crew, and watch the operator and Hina fight over Aoba while he simultaneously has a bromance with Dio....because harems are awesome.

[[Hina -> past, can't return to future -> get lolified and shows up 64 years later to start the loop over]]
[[Aoba -> 74 years into the future -> can't enter and therefore close the time loop, whole thing resets]]

One nice thing they did with the time travel plot is break the loop, and not in some regular way. It began to execute again, and Aoba immediately had a Deja vu moment which promptly broke it. Just like that. As soon as he realized he was in a time loop, events didn't occur the same way. Dio stopped preventing him from saving Hina, he actually helped him. That was a neat way of doing things.

But in saving Hina from the loop she was permanently trapped in, they sent Bizon back to the past without his mecha and apparently created the Zogilian Empire in the first place!

I'm actually kind of glad they did something a little different with the time loop plot.

    edit:
I realize I should be saying if there is a sequel. But I'm going off Sunrise's Valvrave model of split seasons that end on a cliffhanger, plus the pretty blatant "To be continued."

It will obviously have a second season. Sunrise + that ending + valvrave.

Buddy Complex Final Chapter Ep 1
Buddy Complex Final Chapter Ep 2

Well that wraps things up. Though I expected a ful season instead of just two more episodes.

It's like they just crammed 3 stories into two episodes on top of the original story.

Yeah it did feel rather rushed.
Bizon's story could have been greatly expanded as well as Hina's initial life/trip.

It was still cute though, the whole time loop was caused by Hina and Aoba creating the Coupling system back in present day...and right after she disappears, she comes back in a skintight Zogilia pilot suit...hyuu hyuu. I guess that also explains why Aoba can Couple with anyone and Hina's pattern is identical. They're the entire basis of the system itself.

I didn't find it to be particularly problematic that Bizon's issue wasn't unrequited love of Hina, it was just his huge fucking ego from the start. He only fell in "love" with her the second time around. The dude was a complete ass and his character was pretty shallow.
