Too many flashbacks. Even if Kabuto's one pulled on the heartstrings a little.. too many. Just kick his ass already. I want to know what this Izanami is. Itachi made it sound like a gamble - 50% chance to kill the enemy when used.

Too much talk in this episode. I understand Kabuto would be happy enough to talk to try to lessen the cooperation between Sasuke and Itachi, but for those two all the chatter certainly wouldn't do any good. I doubt Kabuto would spill any weaknesses. Too many flashbacks as well, like you said, but I'll probably be able to stomach a couple more if Oro is in them.
Izanagi is about changing one's fate, thus allowing to escape certain death, for example. If this Izanami is setting fate, maybe it will allow to guarantee the outcome of an attack if some favourable conditions are present.
Not at all surprising that there's an Izanami to go along with Izanagi, Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi and Susano'o.
You just know some horrible shit is going to happen to that Orphanage Matron.
Bad guys sure do love to call themselves the new Sage of the Six Paths.
So lets break down the various sources of the Sage's powers we know about so far.
1. Wood Style(and accompanying regeneration/life force related abilities)
2. The Rinnegan
3. Sage Mode(probably Dragon Sage(probably with real dragons though, rather than Snake Sage with some spikes), or some kind of All-Animal Sage(since the Rinnegan lets him summon lots of different animals)
4. 5 Treasured Tools(which frankly, mostly suck).
5. Jinchuuriki(for the Ten-Tails).
6. Was said to be able to use all 5 Elements. Not sure if they just meant his fan Treasured Tool, or if he could also do it on his own.
So far, the most any one of the villains has had is two of these things. But they're all really quick to declare themselves the new Sage.
