I assume the lock breaking means that Ilya has regained access to her full powers. I thought of it this way: The kaleidostick generates near-infinite prana at the cost of being obnoxious and humiliating its user. Ilya, by her nature, has near-infinite prana.

So she effectively doubled in power once she reunites with Ruby. As it stands, she turned herself into a self-sustaining servant for a few minutes.

She also doubled her cuteness having her hair up in the bun.

Also a little creeped out by Sapphire digging through the ground and stone to get to Miyu. It was very Virgo from Fairy Tail behavior.
