My theory: That hollow is based off of Kaien Siba's soul and, thus, Kaien Shiba is the hollow ichigo that we always saw. It's Kubo enough to make sense.
Also, Masaki is a badass.
So, Aizen was responsible for Ichgo's parents meeting... Just as Aizen Planned!
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills
he also has an invisibility clock... quick, someone write a fanfic story in which Uruhara travels in time and gives Harry Potter's ancestor the clock so that harry could fight Aizen in the future! The three deathly hollows: the shinigami sword, the badge and the clock!
Upon reading this chapter again, there seems to be some fatal flaw here.
Isshin got cut by Aizen. Did he magically lose half his power when this happened because it seems like he could have killed that thing without even using bankai.
I think the whole idea was that Isshin was going to curb stomp that hollow with his bankai. Aizen cut Isshin which hurt him so badly he couldn't use his Bankai. We could extrapolate after watching Yamamoto's Bankai that flame based (mind you I'm assuming his sword is flame based from it's release command being "Burn") Zanpaktous are dangerous to the user.
Next thing we'll find out is Isshin is the son of Yamamoto.
Ah yes, the old "hug 'em and shoot 'em in the head" technique. Oldest trick in the book, and still one of my favs.
