Erza fails? Haha. She's not Lucy. She hasn't failed against anybody but the likes of Acnologia and Jellal, and those were understandable with the former being an uber monster dragon of legendary proportions, and the latter the man she loves.

It depicts very well the spirit of Fairy Tail to consider this contest nothing but a drawing of luck. No doubt Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, and Laxus would have done the same.
