Thread: [TW] or [ANBU-AonE]?

1. #21
I prefer TW's subs over anbu's/aone's.

2. #22
i think toriyamas world subs are better but anbu aone video qualtiy is better so anbu wins they got the some of the better translations and speed makes them a winner

Try AnimeRev. I prefer that now then AONE. Yeah I'm the GUY some moderator asked me to enjoy BAKASAN's work. I do download his just to watch it and then download animerev's just to burn it. AONE ....screw u

4. #24
They are both good but I prefer ANBU-AonE...

5. #25
As far as overall quality goes [TW] is the king, but Anbu-Aone is not far behind. So I prefer Anbu only because they have the eps almost as soon as they come out.

I like [TW] for their translation. It may not be correct according to anyone else's standards, but I like it when they say "shinobi" in stead of ninja and don't translate some of the ninja terms. I also perfer the color of the subtitles and the overall quality.

AA is perfectly alright, though, I just perfer one over the other.

This is my weekly Naruto schedule - it should tell you how I feel about the various subbers.

Wed evening - download new raw from saiyaman (as a manga reader I want to see it as early as possible)

Thursday - delete raw off my desktop.

Friday night - Download new Manga chapter from Naruto Chuusin or Naruto Fan, whomever gets it first. ( I prefer Inane translation, but Orange tangerine is fine too)

Saturday/Sunday/Monday - Download & watch new Anbu-Aone sub when it comes out.

every 24 weeks - burn a season to dvd-r

******************
I check TW website every day - but its for manga scans of other series that they do that I love (HxH, Bleach etc..)

TW fansubs are excellent, but I've been very happy with the ANBU version and have no reason to stress out 2 providers servers.

after checking out Darkanime and Bakasan, both are okay subbers they have translation/ timing problems occasionally - but you can tell that they are very small groups that are trying their best to be fast and get the episodes out for rabid fans.

Who knows at some point Naruto may get licensed and then I'll go with whomever I can find that is willing to still do it while the american licenser catches up (as if).

One thing i like about TW better is that they dont translate everything like i dont like how AA writer shadow replcation jutsu or whatever i want to see kage bunshin no jutsu.

so how long does it take for one espisode to be out? every week?

11. #31
one per week, takashi

i support anbu-aone`s, can`t find any reason for that. i just d/l and f*** off.

can i ask one question? why so many pple in #animeone hate naruto so much tho it`s a very good anime

ehm they don't?

If they do, they prolly like the other animes like onegay teacher and gaytousen more than naruto...

TW better subs and good video quality
AA weaker subs and good video quality too.

I was too once a TW loyalist from day 1 they were faster at first. 15 or so episodes in (I don't remember exactly where)... they slowed down... big time... Now, TW is about 3 months behind, AA is still on track but I'm still so impatient that I download the first subbed Naruto I can get my hands on before I re-watch the AA version of the episode, and burn the AA version.

Obvious winner here AA.

I find that both are of equal quality to eachother. Both get their raws from the same place, I believe, so it comes down to translation and release speed. ANBU churns them out one a week, whereas TW, well.... THEY'RE FRIGGING SLOW! (no offense, to TW. I'm still jockeying to help ANY group with timing and rendering, but am still being turned down. )

ANBU-AonE has not stopped for awhile, unlike TW who took a break

17. #37
Anbu-Aone is faster. That's all there is to it. TW might b a little better in quality but it's not worth the wait. The differences aren't that dramatic.

18. #38
Asking that question here is extremely biased. I don't believe that TW puts out better quality then ANBU.

Personally, TW i believe has best quality overall. Especially when going from computer to TV via S-Video at anime fests. Subs are a little easier to read, and little better encoding. ANBU/AONE gets them out at a very decent speed for the quality they make. Its quite good, almost never some weird encoding error blurs. But I keep TW when they come out.

forgot to add, the Both are wonderful groups of people who for some reason work very hard to satisfy our needs for anime, so thanks to ALL SUBBING GROUPS. without them, where would we be?

They're all doing this for the love of it...so what if they take a break? It's not like you have to do any of the subbing or anything. You, like the most of us, just leech. So, I don't like to prefer one over the other. It's all great that any of the groups fansub at all.
