Synopsis: 2019, Divergence Ratio 1.048596. The near future, where a device popularly called the PokeCom, packaged with PhoneDroid OS, spreads, bringing the Augmented Reality world close to existence.

Chuuoutanegashima High School's Robot Research Club is in danger of losing its club status. Kaito Yashio, one of only two members, is only obsessed with robot fighting games, showing no interest in the Robo Club even in this situation. The reckless, useless club head, Akiho Senomiya, aims to complete a giant robot, struggling hard to avoid losing the club's status.

Then, one day, Kaito discovers the A.R. annotation that becomes the Kimishima Report. Written in that report is the indictment of someone named Kou Kimishima's conspiracy involving the world.

This is a good series. Unlike it's sister series' Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head, I like it right from the start. It's got charisma that those lacked. That seems to primarily be due to all the faces and reaction noises Aki makes. Or her unrelenting single-minded focus on her goals.

The two things that interest me the most are:
- What happened on the cruise ship with the red aurora, and how does that relates to the disease that Aki has?
- Why Aki's sister won't talk to her, and is it related to the first (like a survivor's guilt)?

I was also beginning to suspect that Kaito too has a form of the disease Aki has, but a more mild case that slows time for him just a bit, rather than speeding it up, which is why he's so good at the games. Turns out I was right. That would explain why Frau Koujiro thought he was cheating, even when she has access to her own code and very likely all kinds of server logs. Just like Aki's, it becomes progressively more debilitating with fatigue.

Was Misa's (Aki's sister) last line directed at Kaito regarding the mystery we don't know about, or the president guy regarding "The Committee"? I'd like to guess the former, but that might just be what they want us to think. Very ambiguous.

I think it's the former. The "Committee" could well be tracking people who have this "disease".

Good job on the whole disease/time-slow thing. It didn't really make too much sense to me (I assumed time slowed for him too and was surprised to see his fingers move at normal speed).

The addictive mix of a cute lead, expressions and never-say-die enthusiasm is pretty awesome.

Those were my impressions as well. I was hoping she'd spice things up here and there, but right now it's more like she just needs babysitting.. even if she's got high security, money and all.

The whole "memetalk" aspect seems like something that'll get really old really fast. It's not like Christina cutely trying to hide it, this bitch has it at 100% all the time, autistic people aren't this anti-social.

Indeed. Frau has been the first character I haven't liked in this series. Aki makes up for just about everyone else's minor foibles.

The store owner, she was paralyzed 15 years ago in an accident. At first I thought that would have put her in the same age range as Aki's sister, but Misaki seems younger than that. Unless it happened in middle school or something, when Kaito and Aki were still toddlers.

What is it with this company and making scientific organizations the head of an evil conspiracy? First CERN in Steins, and now NASA is evil.

I don't mind the solar flare disaster scenario or the fact that an agency is covering it up (perhaps to prevent worldwide panic), but how are our heroes going to stop this? How could the possibly stop this? Obviously using a giant robot, but that doesn't change the fact that stopping the sun from exploding, unless something small (like aliens) is causing it, is a very tall order. Those questions will keep me watching.

I like the idea of augmented reality characters, but is he going to be the only one to ever see her, or is she going to reveal herself to the others in the club?

I'll be watching this, but the development's taken me by surprise. I was expecting a show about building robots (and not much else).
