Fuck yeeeeeeeahhhh!
Finally.
Peace.
I'm on episode 5. Jojo got the ripple. I wonder if I have epilepsy.
"After all, I am strangely colored."
Finally have the bluray version and began watching it. I'm 4 episodes in and really getting a kick a character being named REO Speedwagon in the 1800's.
Also good to see more of the series being animated, particularly the Jotaro portion.

Good first episode.
However, two complaints:
1.) This is easily the least interesting Jojo and Jojo-era visually. Don´t like the look of the new Jojo and his clothing. That guy from the preview also looked silly.
2.) I hate the idea of those stand. Hopefully, that changes when we get to see a real fight, but as of now Im under the impression that the stands do all the fighting while their user stand still in whatever cool pose. Reminds me of Inazuma Eleven Go Galaxy, and that sucked.
But man, do I like Dio. A villain that actually gets stuff done (and be it only killing some girl) and that´s not an incompetent fool. I wonder if Dio will be defeated for good during this arc or if he finds a way to survive again. Also, I fear for Joseph´s life. He´s the perfect candidate for a dramatic death
"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court
Ha, piracy warning.
That was pretty bad ass. I don't mind the stands, but I'm going to miss the ripple.
I laughed pretty hard a few times. How did Joseph figure out that smashing a camera would take a picture of Dio? And isn't 30,000 yen kind of a lot for a one-shot power like that?

"After all, I am strangely colored."
Joseph has such a shitty power if all he can do is take photos. xD
I'll miss the ripple as well since people actually do the real fighting in that one, but I'll wait to see how this plays out.
The thing that annoyed me the most was actually how much Joseph was yelling. His exclamations were fun when he was younger and doing stupid things, but now it feels like he's a bit uptight. AKA old.
Holly confused the hell out of me because I thought she was SuzieQ for a while.
Dio being muscular's interesting. He looks tanked up and so should be really strong. At the same time though, he gives off the vibes of a muscular SSJ instead of the slimmer SSJ2.

So, this is like the first time they've ever shown this birthmarks right?
I feel like that's some kind of retcon that everyone in their family suddenly has had those all along.
Wait, why does everyone think the ripple is gone?
It's just like chi martial arts isn't it? Why wouldn't Joseph still be able to use it?
I dunno, $300 doesn't seem that much to be able to, like, see your destiny or whatever he called it.
It's kind of hard to take him seriously yet given how much weaker he was than the villains in the previous arc.
I assume he has a Stand. But still, the previous villains were physical gods.
I know right. I'm surprised that even qualifies as a Stand. It doesn't seem to have, like, a person shaped spirit.
Ripples are gone in the sense that they will no longer be the primary mode of combat, assuming they are of use now at all, in the same way we no longer use horses as a mode of transport in the West.

How stupid and weak Joseph´s stand is, just points towards him dying soon more. A soon-to-be dead character doesnt need an awesome stand :/
Regarding Dio´s power:
Well, he´s basically a vampire, right? Vampires gain strenght just by time alone, the older a vampire, the more powerful he is. Maybe that logic will be applied here. Also two more benefitting factors: 1.) As a vampire, he can just keep accumulating life power by sucking it out of people, and 2.) he has Jonathan´s body, which might act as some sort of fusion, multiplying his previous powers.
Lots of possibilities, so Im not scared that he might be some weakass idiot.
"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court
I like how contrived they have to make the abbreviation now to ensure that the main character is still called Jojo.
I don't really see how having a spirit with weird powers automatically makes the ability to explode shit with your fists and withstand tremendous damage somehow obsolete.
That's like saying Summons in Naruto automatically makes all other jutsu obsolete.
If anything, if someone was gonna punch me with a ghost, I'd want to have spiritual energy protecting my body even MORE.
Hell, if your athletic enough, and have the ripple, just run AROUND the Stand and hit the user.
Ah, okay. I guess they never pointed it out, and I just didn't notice it.
It's pronounced "Kujo Jotaro" in Japanese. He's a Japanese native, not an Englishman or American.
I think stands are more like Susanoo than the toads, snakes, slugs. "Chakra" brought to life, and given intelligence. And yeah, Susanoo makes pretty much every jutsu obsolete.
That said, I get where you're coming from. And the anime hasn't given many clues about how stands work. But I think that the anime has to take a different direction, since it covered fighting the ultimate life forms/ripple users already. Also, I doubt Jonathan's body will be weak to the ripple. There's nowhere to go but sideways.
Don't worry, I'm not a manga reader -- I've just read little bits of trivia about it, like the birthmark thing.

More like if my name was Franco Cobalt and I was nicknamed Coco.Originally Posted by Darth

Sure, but that's still weird. 99% of people would just call him Frank.
Only 2 days since the episode was released and you've already managed to fill the thread with idiocy and naruto comparisons, congratulations.
Edit: Christ, even your reps are juvenile.
