At first I didn't like Haru because he came off to be just a dumb brute.... but later on you see that he was actually the top student of his class and that changed my perception of him. However, I have no idea how you can be so clueless as to how school is. Was he home schooled throughout his childhood or something? I do like Shizuku and enjoy the comedy used in this show though.

I think his mental state is simply a few printouts short of a full stack.

Quite a crazy show all in all. No idea if I keep watching this till the end, but I'll give it another ep or two, at least.

He is that kind of guy who just 'gets' think at once - he dosen't memorize and practice but gets it after having it explained once or twice.
In this show you have typical case of standard Japanese student(hard working) vs genius(lazy/not caring but intelligent).

She has quite a few different fine roles under her belt, now that you mentioned it. Ichika of Ano Natsu, Manami of Asobi no Iku yo, Ranmaru of Binbougami, Yuina of Hanasaku Iroha, Nagi of Kannagi, Hitei-hime of Katanagatari, Gruier of Mouretsu, Asuna of SAO, Lala of To-Love Ru, etc. But I guess she's still limited by missing roles in really hardboiled action shows, for example.

By hardboiled action shows, you might be able to include series like Canaan (where she admittedly played comedy relief Yunyun), or Shiki, where she played a wonderful psychopath?

Of course you forgot two of her best roles besides Hitei-hime, Tsukishima Aoba of Cross Game and also Anjou "Anaru" Naruko of Ano Hana

She's really talented (sings well too, as part of Sphere), but there was a period where all the shows she was a major character in did poorly. A shame, since her range is incredible.

I only include roles I haven't personally witnessed if there's no other choice (the VA has no real roles to speak of that I'd have seen). I feel more truthful that way, subjectively speaking, since it's a subjective matter.

Contrary to K/Tempest/Btoom first ep crappy storyline/intro, that one was nice and funny although contrary to the same 3 the visuals and quality were average. They pulled easy strings, it worked so quality doesn't matter that much. I was grinning, having fun, it should just be like that, enjoying a good dose of anime.
I hope they can keep it up though.

Yeah, it is definitely one of the better shows so far. As much as I am completely sick of watching school anime, this one was definitely worth trying. It's funny, and the humor isn't forced. That's all that matters.

My only problem with it really is how much older Haru sounds than his character. It sort of fits, but it sort of doesn't. Suzuki Tatsuhisa plays a lot of late 20s, early 30s characters or super mature high school students (when he does at all). It's really odd with Haru, who is maybe 16, acts like he's 13, but sounds like he's 25. I guess that's the point.

Also...Sasaki Nozomi playing their kind-hearted teacher, who gives flowery (or trashy, not sure yet) romance novels to her students. Instant win. She has more range than I expected too.

If Mi-chan was paying money back to the older brother.. it doesn't quite make sense for him to say "don't come back" every time he pays, assuming he's a good guy and takes responsibility for money that he borrows.
