Granted, the fact this is from the director of Aria, Tamayura, Umi Monogatari, etc. should have tipped me off that this isn't going to be any Redline, but somehow I still expected there to be a bit more high-spirited biking and a bit less goofing around in girls only company and worrying about the future. At least the adult chick, Cynthia (voiced by Kobayashi Yuu; Honda Futayo of Horizon, Shidou Mariya of Maria Holic, Ruka of Steins;Gate) is as expected, apparently born to ride. The main girl, Haruno (voiced by Gotou Saori; Moeka of Steins;Gate, Meredy of Fairy Tail) was a bit too emo, but fortunately that seemed to be only a part of the beginning of the story. The rest of the girls squad were more interesting right off the bat.

I'll keep watching if I remember, whenever the episodes appear. It's kind of stupid all the motorized vehicles in the show are Hondas due to the sponsorship, but once you get over that, it's not bad. I just hope they will drive more and worry less in the future eps.

(Btw, Cynthia drives normally a real bike, not a moped like my screenshot might suggest. I chose the shot based only on the composition and artfulness.)

This really is a "one off" OVA of 2 eps isn't it?

I got that feeling from watching this, since the main girl's doubts seem to have disappeared with the trip to the sea.

Everything there was to know about the retreat was also covered.. so I don't feel like any more needs to be done about this series.. but I'll certainly be interested if they wish to prove otherwise.

AniDB does list four eps, the latter two in october. If this is going to be a riding story, I think something more than just one moped trip needs to happen. I hope it's going to be more motorcycling, but who knows. Initial D won't launch before november, so another two eps of this in october wouldn't be bad, assuming they actually will do more than sit around a table and chat...
