The end made up for it I guess, but having Asuma standing around lecturing Chouji about how to get over it is highly doubtful when he's supposedly not in control of his body. He needs to be attacking ruthlessly like he did towards those nameless shinobi.
Having Chouji "break" his shell from nearly having his friends killed should have happenned.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Quite boring episodes. One episode of Chouji's immaturity should have been enough. It didn't help that the fight was highly underwhelming when Chouji finally got over himself.
At least it looks like in the next episode Naruto will have had enough of being kept in the dark.
I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever see that Butterfly form again.
Frankly though, I feel like they did this in the opposite order that they should have.
I feel like the Trio defeated the much stronger opponent first in Kinkaku.
They should have done this fight first, and then had Choiji go on to use his butterfly form effectively against Kinkaku's Jinchuuriki form. Jinchuuriki vs. Giant Chakra Butterfly would have been a much more interesting fight to watch.
Nah... the writers would be spoiling us with good material if they did that. Much better to leave us with crap so barely decent parts shine like gold.
The butterfly wings have not been shown as being useful, have they? They seem to be more a proof Chouji is in a strong mode. But they do not seem to be useful otherwise. Am I right?
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
The wings are just enormous masses of chakra which he then channels into his fist.
Growing wings basically means he can punch 100x as hard.
