    Was the old one... not?

    I suppose since I've never watched the old series in Japanese, I won't have differing VAs rubbing me the wrong way.

    The old series had a Power Ranger structure with a monster of the week wreaking havoc until the bad guys appeared. The manga doesn't have this structure. And lots of more Sailor Senshi appear in the manga as well.

    By "lots" are you talking about the ones from outside of the solar system????? I thought those made it into the last part of the anime (the one that was never brought over to English).

    Anime had about 20 sailor senshi. Manga a bit over 50 if I remember right.
