Looks that way. I guess they pretty much have to if they're not going to have any devil fruit power. Also, Oda didn't waste any time bringing Law into the typical strawhat shenanigans. He's looking more like Shikamaru already.

The yonkou in question is totally Shanks, why else would Oda create suspense around it?
I love the direction the plot is moving towards, really looking forward to the next couple of chapters.
That would make absolutely no sense. I'm pretty sure the main reason Luffy even asked Law which yonkou was because Shanks would've been the dealbreaker.Originally Posted by Archangel

You seem to be under the strange impression that Shanks isn't as much Luffy's enemy as he is his friend. You think he became a yonkou for shits and giggles? No, he wants to become the Pirate King, he wants One Piece.
A showdown is inevitable, the only reason why i'd even remotely agree with you is because Luffy might want a 1 on 1 with Shanks.
Im 90% positive that you are trolling.
So naturally, Luffy is going to undermine his idol Shanks with the help of some scheme Law came up with. Makes perfect sense.

I think it's Blackbeard, but it could be Big Mom. Luffy declared war on her, after all.
Either way, Luffy and Law will become this generation's Shanks and Whitebeard: frenemies with mutual respect, and trust insofar as they can count on each other for common goals.
