The scene with Kakashi determining Sasuke's chakra nature was both new and an interesting added piece of backstory(which I'm sure wasn't written until years after that part of the manga...).

It's fun if you're in the mood for it. I just skim through it until I find a spot that I feel like watching. The nostalgic music certainly helps.

I still don't understand why they never remixed any of that music for Shippuuden.
Probably a dispute over money that stopped them from re-using it.
I might have thought that, if they weren't using them right now...in the middle of Shippudden.
There need not be a ban for there to be a dispute.
