    Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

"The story of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san centers around Nyaruko, a formless Cthulhu deity of chaos (Nyarlathotep) who can take on the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school boy who is chased by aliens one night, until Nyaruko saves him." -ANN

While the word "Cthulhu" grasps any self-respecting person's interest, I wasn't sure what to expect from this show - in fact I wasn't sure I'd even have a look at it. I'm glad I did! This was quite intensive like Sankaku called it and in a good way. Together with the gleeful violence by Nyaruko it was like a mix of Magikano and Bokusatsu Tenshi (except that Nyaruko isn't brutally murdering Mahiro but the monsters). Great fun. I hope it keeps up because I intend to keep watching.

Nyaruko was voiced by Kana Asumi (Miya of Amagami) and Mahiro by Eri Kitamura (Karen of Bakemonogatari). While I'd have liked a male VA to voice Mahiro, the current one isn't bad. Naturally it means the dude won't get too badass ever during the show. But then again, this is the kind of show where he should be showing more disgusted and terrified faces than asskicking for the plot to work. At least he's not afraid of Nyaruko herself - most of the time.

I have no major complaints. Visuals and audio were passable. Humour amused me, both parody and other elements.

Edit (episode 2): There's no plot in this show, I swear. I wonder how long it can keep going until it requires no sanity on the viewer's part to remain interesting.

I'm watching it and enjoying it more or less. But seeing how nobody made a post in the thread, I deemed it waste of energy to post release updates.

    Not much to talk about.

At first, the show was really tense and I enjoyed every single minute of it, but it's gotten slower. Every recent episode should, hopefully, lead to a breakdown of this reverse-tsundere anime.

I keep on thinking that Kuuko (Miyu Matsuki) is voiced by Yuko Goto, though. Their voices are too similar to each other that it's uncanny.

Except not really at all. Yuuko Gotou's underlying voice is much deeper, while Miyu Matsuki's always has the much higher pitched quivering/wavering in her voice (or whiny moan).

If you had said Saori Gotou on the other hand...she and Miyu Matsuki sound nearly identical.

I'm not too sure how I can explain it, but for some reason, Miyu Matsuki and Yuko Goto speak (sounds like they're talking with their nostrils pinched) sounds very similar. My ears might be bad, though.

    Anyway, episode 10:
