I think the novel is paced the same way.
I think the novel is paced the same way.
Peace.
I've read only first few chapters(vol1 has only 4 of them translated T_T), and the crossover with SAO
- flying uses special gauge(but only if he propels himself - using wings to just tilt his body does not)

If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
i've been reading the novel(anime is way ahead the translated part) and there was this interesting bit:
[ Since Burst Linker «Duel» is only a maximum 1.8 seconds real time, there won’t be enough time to accelerate once a fight starts. So, for Burst Linkers with interest and friends who registered the name, once that person starts a fight, he will also automatically accelerate and dive into the battle field to watch, there sees to be that function. For that purpose, no Burst Point is expended.

They have already produced the show. If they die now, it should not affect the schedule, as long as the motive is not revealed.
Peace.
Regardless, no one's nuking Sunrise and EMPing everything else around it.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Forgettable model. Tasty box-art.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Well i feed stupid, why didn't anyone suggest npc battles when we were wondering about the lack of sustainability in the burst points program.
Because they always were pretty clear that Brain Burst was a one-on-one, tag team, or team fighting game.
Now we find out it is uses PvP as a tutorial, but it is an Open PvP MMO that, thanks to the armistice, focuses on clans claiming and defending territory.
I'm actually rather disappointed in that development.
I can't remember the last time I smiled this much at a main character enjoying a harem. Harayuki totally earned this through badassery (that he had to learn too) unlike many other MCs.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
So each new generation of Burst Linkers is smaller than the previous generation so the population is slowly dying out... doesn't seem like an great solution if the creator wants the world to continue then again it's not like we have any clue what the point of the Accelerated World is.
You are here alone again
In your sweet insanity
All too calm, you hide yourself from reality
Do you call it solitude? Do you call it liberty?
When all the world turns away to leave you lonely
Indeed. It seems like a major design flaw to only allow one child per parent. Each "generation" will lose more burst linkers due to getting wiped out before they can get it to successfully install to someone else...and they only get one chance at that anyway.
That turns it into exactly the type of game Haruyuki didn't like to see. Two spawn chances would have been a more prudent number.
I am sure they will come across someone who managed to go around that Parent/Child thing. It's just begging to be abused somehow.
Some cool shit i learned:
Using the command 'Unlimited Burst', players level 4 and above can enter the Unlimted Neutral Field (UNF) for 10 burst points (BP). The features of the UNF:
-no time limit (in the anime, it's mention that 24 real-life hours would feel like three years in the UNF)
- thought is 1000x faster (like most BB activity)
- anyone can be attacked at anytime by any player (or players)
- there are no boundaries and no area limits
- an increased sense of pain
- there are places called 'landmarks' that contain exit portals for players to logout with - they cannot leave the UNF with a command ('link out' won't work, for example)
- if you are defeated in the UNF, you enter 'ghost' status. As a ghost, you cannot move beyond a 10-meter radius from where you died. You resurrect automatically after 60 minutes.
- unlike normal battle fields which are built and destroyed for each battle, the UNP is a persistant world
- the area represented in UNP is whatever is filmed by social camera - in other words, all of Japan is represented in the UNF
- the presence of ENEMIES: ENEMIES are NPC monsters that infinitely spawn in the UNF. Defeating them gives BP and, randomly, special drops like rare armor or weapons. They are separated into 5 types, from weakest to strongest: Lesser, Wild, Beast, Legend, and Super. Above those, there are the Four Heveanly Beasts: Seiryuu, Genbu, Suzaku, and Byakko. These ENEMIES are said to be on an entirely different level.
- the 'Shop' is in the UNF where players can use their burst points to acquire special items and equipment, cards, buy furniture for their in-game player housing, and receive quests. Players may also sell equipment for BP, but that equipment will then be available for other to buy.
- 'Dungeons' are also in the UNF. These are where players can defeat ENEMIES with a higher chance to drop items and, if they reach the bottom, have a chance to acquire a rare item.
- the UNF is said to have its own attribute: 'chaos'. This is due to the system's changes that occur at a scheduled time each day or each week. While the world is persistant, at a certain time, damaged objects, buildings, and landscape are repaired and ENEMIES are re-spawned.
Those are just game rules but i tagged in case someone doesn't want to know.
Looking more and more like a MMORPG with those rules.
And some more
Items like weapons and armor owned by duel avatars are called 強化外装 (kyouka gaisou), the official english term being 'enhanced armament'. There are several ways to acquire them:
- receive them during character creation
- acquire as a level up bonus
- buy them at the shop
- find them in dungeons
- dropped when defeating an ENEMY
- trade via direct connection
While rare, there it is also possible to acquire a piece of armament from an emeny you have just defeated out of BB entirely (that is, you took the remainder of their points and forced them to uninstall).
