If he does. he should explain why.

I was joking about number 3, but episode 13 (and the whole Taku arc) hints at it. I know it's not gonna happen, though.

I think Kuroyuki is pretty kuudere, but she just got past most of the kuu part since episode 1. Even now. she seems to be always in control and quite cold and blunt to others except Haru.

In any case, the point of my previous post was not to classify the 3 characters, but to say that they are part of Haru's harem, which they obviously are. I don't mind omitting the character archetypes at all.

Okay, this is what I hate about pussy protagonists. The payback that will eventually happen will never be enough to compensate for this embarrassing throw down.

I wouldn't worry about it in the long run. In series like this, shitbags like Nomi have a way of getting annihilated by something greater than them that doesn't appreciate their personally playpen being exploited.

Nomi is worse off than anyone else we've seen. Once he loses Brain Burst (and he will, eventually), he'll have nothing to live for and become just some shell. Cheaters don't like to play anymore once they get caught, because then they have to put in actual effort to be at the top. Which they never want to do, so that's why they started cheating in the first place. I would guess that they have little interest attempting to rehabilitate Nomi like they did Taku.

Ultimately, Chiyu's right. They all take this game so seriously, that none of them are having fun anymore.

Perhaps she will use her ultra-rare healing powers and crush everyone who gets in her way. If the only other known healer still playing is one of the Kings, it shouldn't be too hard for Chiyu to dominate all her opponents as well. Once she's at the top too, Chiyu can just knock the others out into the real world. Calling it now. A level 9 Chiyu is the last boss.

This trap has SO MANY BIG HOLES in it...
    1) if haru set up the camera - how the fuck he was caught on it?
    2) chiyu story still protects haru
    3) if he released that vid, non-anonymously he is prime suspect
    4) what if Chiyu or Haru recorded this conversation just now?

The other two would help him, at least to a point, but for (2), "Haru used the opportunity that Chiyu gave him to plant a camera." and (1) doesn't really help, because it would just look like he was setting up an alibi. "It was someone else's camera," doesn't really work as a defense. Chiyu coming to Haru's aid seemed to initiate the second blackmail contingency. It wasn't both after Chiyu came so much as either/or.

If she didn't come, Nomi would have used both, with the first being footage of Haru planting the second camera, which admittedly doesn't make all that much sense, because someone else still would have planted the first. I guess Nomi would have posted it saying that he was a girl who, "thought someone was planting camera in the shower room and look what we found!"

It's still screwed up, but it isn't quite that bad.

Regarding (4), if Nomi can hack someone's visual field with this "electron masking," I imagine he could make his voice record as only static pretty easily.

Haru and Taku should just use Physical Burst when that jerk isn't looking then kill him in real life. With a bit of planning, their Burst abilities can make sure they never get caught.

How reliable is digital video evidence when people can just go ahead altering real time vision of other people?

    Nomi..

I haven't hated a character so badly in a long time. It wasn't until he made Chiyu cry that it finally hit home though. I suppose this means it's the first time I've actually felt like an NTR victim.

ALTIMA's song wasn't that great this time round, but the ED animation's cute.

And yeah, the OP certainly explains a lot... why Silver Crow's riding with the Ash Roller, in particular. I guess that's why Nomi's duel avatar looks kinda mismatched as well if we assume he has the power to steal other people's special abilities.

Because of the story in general, or because of Haru?

I can pretty much guaruntee that I won't be dropping this, but fuck Haru was a total loser here. Taku didn't help too much since he's still a bit hurt over what happened before..

But at least Ash Roller is cool.

I don't know why you'd want to drop it because of this. We all saw it was coming from the last episode and the preview, but this is a very good development for Haru's overall sense of self-worth. Until now, only his flight ability gave him any pride. As we saw when he lost it, that's not very healthy. He was immediately convinced that Kuroyuki would just abandon him because of that. If something of this level doesn't happen to him at least once, there's no way he'd ever last, or ever be worthy of Kuroyuki anyway.

He's become completely dependent on his aviation ability, which is very bad for his long-term viability in Brain Burst. He had to spend weeks learning how to always dodge in mid-air, because any time he got the wings shot, he would have to get rescued by someone else or just lose outright.

Haru completely forgot the way he used to fight with his brain, like how he defeated Ash Roller to begin with. Thankfully, that very same person was quick to recognize this, though he didn't say it outright. He realized when Haru beat him that there were inherent weaknesses in focusing everything, so he created back-up techniques, driving with his foot and punching them in the face when they try to grab the rear wheel.

One who solely specializes has very obvious weaknesses. Look at Scarlet Rain. She's got a staggering level of long-range power, but when swarmed and hit by lock-on interference abilities, she was pretty easily defeated (or would have been). Hell, Haru had a chance (albeit slim) to beat her the first time because he's immune to flames, but he got scared and gave her the distance she needed. No one can act alone, and in specializing, a player forces themselves to be in the right conditions where they can fully utilize that specialization. In contrast, all an opponent has to do is lock down that one aspect, and suddenly a Level 9 becomes as weak as a Level 4.

That said, Chiyu has never really been helpful to Haru's sense of self-worth. She certainly didn't help him here. She's with Taku, but she still wants to keep Haru as a pet. I didn't realize she and Taku hadn't gotten back together. So she really does want to be that selfish and keep them both. How sly.

I figure that if Kuroyuki was here, she'd probably fix Haru in no time, reminding him that the wings aren't everything, and that wasn't the reason she sought him out in the first place, just a perk on top of his regular drive/will that she was happy to find in him. A bonus.

I simply feel disgusted when watching Haru. I am sick of weak and pathetic protagonists that do nothing but bee sorry for themselves and allow people close to them to get hurt, even going as far as hurting those people themselves.

It was stupidity and arrogance that cost him his wings. In fact, this whole fiasco is his fault. Add to that the fact that this whole blackmail thing is full of holes. Why can't he tell his friends about it? How the hell can he find a solution if his dumb brain can come of it itself if he does not seek help? Are the cops so stupid in their era that they can't even investigate a simple blackmail case if Haru goes to them? Can you really blame me for not wanting to feel extremely irritated when watching this?

That said, I also know that the following episodes are redemption episodes for Haru, which is why I am not giving up yet. I still have faith in Reki after all.

Because the asshole kid might go back on his promise and not give Haru back his wings when he graduates.

Of course he never intended to honour that in the first place, but Haru's fears got the better of him. Didn't make it any less painful, but nonetheless there was a reason behind it. If I was him I would have just considered them lost, tell Taku about it so he doesn't get into the same shit as I did (Chiyu too), wait for Kuroyuki to come back - then find a way to steal it back from him.

That is one of the things that is pissing me off. By giving in to that asshole, he is endangering his friend and lover. The jerk openly said as much himself. He also admitted that he is not ready to face off against those two (I'm sure both in Accel and real world, because they are simply smarter than that damn pig). That should be enough to make Haru realize that he should inform them asap. Kuroyuki would fly to his side after all.

What a sob fest, Haru is one seriously huge loser. While this annoys me, it also leaves room for character development so i'll keep watching.

I'll self insert as Ash Roller until Haru mans the fuck up, he's awesome.

If she doesn't duel... why is she accelerating? I wonder if she a cripple irl and just enjoys being able to move more easily.
