This anime might be one of the worst let downs ever. I´m currently trying to FINALLY finish watching it. I´m at episode 17. Dear holy lord, this is sooo hard and tiresome to watch. The original anime was so full of creative, fantastical designs, like a classic JRPG world. And we had deep, meaningful character interaction and development. Meanwhile, Astral Ocean says "screw all that!" and gives us a chock boring realistic world. It gives us shallow characters. And worst of all, 90% of the time you spend listening to politics. BOOOOOOOOORING politics. Seriously, NOBODY watches Eureka to learn more about the relationships between Japan, the USA and other nations. Do we have any objective numbers to learn how successful this show was? I cannot imagine it was very popular.

"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court

Haven't managed to finish it myself. I think I'm around episode 17 as well.

But yeah, the series was a disappointment. Such a shame.

I finished it yesterday. The last 3 episodes were actually somewhat fine. Had they put those in the first six episodes and then presented an adventure from there, this could have been a quality follow-up.
